First build - 1:100 Tamiya Mig-19 Farmer

Hi Everyone!
So like the title says, this is the my first aircraft build. I was buying extra-thin tamiya cement for my gundam kits on Tamiyausa.com when I found this kit for $3.50 (2.1 GBP). It is tiny but it's so cheap, I don't have any pressure if I screw up. This post I'll just post right out of the box, when I actually start building it I'll add to it.



The Mig-19 was the Soviet Union's first supersonic fighter jet and although its service with the Soviet air force was not very long, the Chinese variant J-6 served in their air force until the late 1990s.

Just by looking in the box, there are a lot less fewer pieces and sprues than Gundam kits, but they're not snap together so this will be a new experience relying just on cement.


There are 3 options for decals, USSR, Cuba and East Germany. Since it's snowing outside and I'm dreaming of some place tropical, I'll go with Cuba!

Anyway, that's all for now. Will add to this once I get started building. Very excited and it's an absolute pleasure to be here!
