1/72 Revell AG Tornado "Black Panther"

My first project for 2014 on the work bench. I have 4 builds I'm going to try and get done this year by keeping it simple and just work on some 1/72 scale aircraft. It should still be a fun and interesting year working with these kits, I'll need to bring my "A" game when putting on the decals with a couple of them.

You get a nice little kit in the box with this 1/72 scale Tornado from Revell. I'm digging the decal sheet although I haven't found many examples of a built up kit on the internet. Either the kit is not a popular subject or modelers are intimidated by the decals, either way I should have something special to put on the display shelf when it's done.

So far I got some of the cockpit parts airbrushed. Once the black plastic is painted you see the detail that was put into the moldings. Not bad at all for 1/72 scale and if my detail painting looks good with the cockpit I may have to display the model with an open canopy.

I'm always dubious of these older kits but looks like you got a good one buddy.

Cockpit is all painted up and installed in the front fuselage.

Currently finishing off my Revell 1:72 F-16C Tigermeet, not a bad kit!
