It's an awesome website
http://www.myhobbyinfo.com/

You can upload and share what's in your Stash. It also gives you updated prices and sales on models you're looking for and also helps you from buying multiples of kits you already have. It's a great online database for your models and your wish lists.. and it's FREE!!

A bunch of guys (and possibly ladies!) are on it from ISM.

Cheers!

Intro to My Hobby Info

Post by wbill76 »

My Hobby Info is a free system designed to make it easier to manage your scale model kit stash and do price comparisons on the kits you are looking to buy. My Hobby Info's databases contain over 28,000 kits from 360+ manufacturers across the aircraft, armored vehicles, autos, figures, ships, and diorama categories with a matching catalog of over 19,000 prices from the major online retailers.

Keeping track of it all can be a daunting task and My Hobby Info offers powerful tools to help the modeler manage their kit and accessory inventories and potential future purchases, allowing you to focus on the real enjoyment of the hobby that comes from having a stash and building the perfect model when that "someday" arrives for a particular kit or project. Joining the growing community of more than 1,690 registered users is quick and easy at www.myhobbyinfo.com.

Once you have an account you will be able to:
  • Stay up to date on new scale model kit releases and updates by genre with the My Latest Info feature and via subscription to the weekly Latest News & Features email newsletter.

Manage your Wish List to include new scale model kits of interest before they are released as well as those must-have kits to add in the future.

Receive automatic email alerts when new prices are added or existing prices are updated based on the scale model kits saved in your Wish List. Compare them to other prices in the system with the Price Spy to get the best deal.

Use the Kit Search and Catalog Browser features to find available scale model kits of interest. Quickly add items to your Stash Lists or Wish Lists with the click of a button to track and manage things efficiently.

Take control and whip your Stash into shape using the Wish List and Stash Lists to track what you've already got and what scale model kits you want to acquire for the future including associated after-market addons and accessories. Create multiple Stash Lists to organize things however you see fit for ultimate customization. Use the Completed Kits feature to track your completed projects for end-to-end reference and the My Books feature to track and manage your reference libraries.

Take advantage of the Price Spy to find scale model kits from online retailers at the best prices by comparing them side-by-side and manage future scale model purchases quickly and easily. Use the Price Spy as a benchmark to compare prices for online auctions, show prices, or sales discounts to ensure you're always getting the best deal.

Make connections with other My Hobby Info users via MHI Friends to share Stash Lists, Wish Lists, and Completed Kits lists and stay up to date with what your model-building friends are up to.
In addition to posts here on International Scale Modeller, you can also follow My Hobby Info on Facebook, Twitter (@myhobbyinfo), or via the MHI Blog to receive updates on new products that are added to the system as well as other My Hobby Info related news and changes.

Glad to hear it! Believe it or not that's one of the main reasons I came up with MHI in the first place. Bought a kit 'on sale' and was so excited when it arrived on my doorstep only to realize when I went to put it on the storage shelf I already had it! :wall:

Please try using the Catalog Browser option under the Main Desk menu ( http://www.myhobbyinfo.com/pages/inteld ... rowser.php ) or just do a search using only Wingnut Wings under the Kit Search. WNW kits should all be there in the system but you may be using too restrictive of a search combination on the Kit Search options. HTH!

Glad to have found this! I started up my stash on MyHobbyInfo.com this morning. I see that site feedback and suggestions are located on Modeler's Social Club (MSC) - how often are feature requests considered? I'd love to put a permalink to my stash in my signature here on ISM...

I use ScaleMates, too, Ludvig. I really like the depth of kits, aftermarket parts, and books in its database, but I find the features and especially the actions there a bit too fine grained. In other words, it's easy to find your kit / paint / book / aftermarket part... but then it takes a confusing 2 minutes just to add it to your stash!

I'm going to use both MyHobbyInfo and ScaleMates equally for awhile, and see which comes out on top. Good observation! 8-)

After creeping through your stashes, I feel the need to build mine bigger and better!
So many kits I want!

Stash envy!!!

I look at my stash and all I see is ... Where the hell am I going to put all these!?!?
Then I join 8 more GBs and lose my mind to make myself feel better.

I've actually been building more than I'm buying lately Lee.
I haven't bought a kit for myself since before christmas. I bought a Chally 2 for Nige, and an Easy 8 for easyight96, but that's it.
