Trumpeter Geschützwagen VI Tiger 21cm 1:35

Post by andreb87 »

hey guys i'm a bit in a hurry with this project because i don't have much time for modelling at the moment! so i decided to keep the project as simple and fast as i could because i wanted to join the group build! unfortunately my pics of the building process got lost because the sd card broke :/ i used hobby boss tiger II late single link tracks instead of the vinyl tracks! these tracks meant a lot of extra work because the vehicle is so huge that you need 2 packs of them! and that are a looooot of parts! i think about 500 just for the tracks! i had to fix the tracks before painting because they were so big that i had to place them before the glue sets! the alu barrel is from rb model and it is really heavy because of its size! the kit was okay! i am a huge dragon fan and this kit was a bit below the dragon standard! a bit of flash and a few fitting problems but not a big deal! i decided to place it on a base because it would be too much work to build a diorama for it! the size is impressive i made photos with the hetzer and tiger which will give you an idea of its size!

Hey dude.

That's one mean looking piece of kit dude :th:

Do you have no pictures of this kit before you started it?

To be eligible for the SIG we do need photos of the un-started kit.

With sprue shots and some background on the vehicle is also nice to be able to read through.

thanks a lot! it's a no name spray booth from ebay! i paid 90 euros for it! several brands have the booth in their program for example fengda (bd-512). i also have a flexible tube which connects the fan at the back with a piece you can put out of the window so you have absolutely fresh air in your mancave! it really is worth the money. here you have the link =) http://www.ebay.de/itm/Absauganlage-Air ... 2a3614956a :cheers2:

Yeah I really like this camo scheme too.

Dots might make it looks a bit much.

Do you have a pic of the dots pattern your thinking about?

hey guys! today another update! i finished the tracks and sealed the camo with satin varnish! spraying the tracks worked well! i had to correct a few spots but that was not a big deal! i chose rusty tracks because i think the contrast to the 45 camo scheme is very nice! next step will be the decals, filters and then pin wash =) :cheers2:

Good Gravy Andre!
That thing looks like a school bus with a giant gun stuck in it.
WOW! Huge.
You've done a wicked job on that paintwork bud.
Nice!!
