Egg plane group build 1st April-1st May

Post by Paul »

So with this fun sig approaching who's taking part and what are you building.

Hasagawa offer a lot of fun aircraft in this eggsellent guise and they are really fun to build, myself and lee have built them in the past and they are great.

I plan on doing the Su-33

Image

There's lot a available, with some even weirder ones in ebay and the likes, emodels sell them as do other uk retailers.

http://www.hasegawausa.com/aircraft_egg.html

This will be a yearly thing at Easter and with them not costing the earth and being great fun we hope a lot of you will join in.

So then who's gonna take part and what are you going to build :thumb2:

Might have it landing on some toast in the middle of an ocean of baked beans

I'm thinking about this one. Seems like good fun. Just out of interest as these kits are really simple do we still post updates in the same format as how we would a gb? As in because there a so few parts you can't really do many updates.

This will be my first group build and I can't wait. I am thinking of making the Focke Wulf in a d-9 colour scheme with the red underside. I will go to the model shop tomorrow but knowing my luck they probably won't have the 190.

EDIT: Just bought a Hasegawa egg plane Space Shuttle from a Hong Kong Ebay shop that should be here in time, so might build that instead or both of them.

Hey all..Have been swamped with work. but I am definitely in on this one. I will post a Youtube video with my entry pre-build. Although it will be scratch built, so no kit to show ay. i'll give you a peak at the rough plans and raw materials, after I make some scrambled eggs though. LOL....

My build will not be a plane in the strictest sense, but it will have wings, engine, and flight control surfaces, so it should qualify.

I will not start build until April 1st, but assume I can plan, design and prepare materials for build. Can't let the kit guyz have the easy way out here!

These Egg planes look like alot of fun to build. I'm going to pick up a few more from my local store this week. This is my project Focke-Wolf Fw190A.

I have started V-logging the build and all will be revealed on my you tube channel "Clem Day"-"Outback Mini Models" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh9gTB ... jievdCJmiQ The videos won't be up for a while as this is all TOP SECRET this April :nena:
My channel is no ISM but we all have to start somewhere. :jd:
