Dragon 1/35 Pak 40 and Crew Normandy 1944.

Post by T3hGuppy »

Hey guys,

So this is my finished diorama for Russell Gosselin's D-Day Group build.

Really nice kit went together with no issues and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to do any German anti tank guns.

Sorry for the excess of pictures lol.

My first proper diorama and overall pleased with the results

My own thoughts on what I would improve. The eyes on some of the crew are a little big but the Helmets hide it well lol.
And The uniform colours are not accurate but I am never one to worry about that too much.

Excellent work mate, as a personal preference, I would like to see rifles with carrying straps but obviously this is a personal observation.

Yeah I agree I do have some Photo-etch ones that came with the kit. Was not sure my skills were up to it yet.
I will be doing this on the next dio for sure. :th:

Very cool, excellent capture of the action. Figures may be a bit too clean, but that's just me I like to see dust and mud.

Can I ask, what did you use for the actual base to get the uneven surface, (plaster Paris) or a special mix, it looks very good?

That's looking great Gup. You wouldn't tell that this is one of your first dioramas.

I like the figures, especially how the uniforms are painted.
Perhaps you could have done with less space behind the guncrew and the edge of the base. No criticism just a personal preference.

Hopefully you are going to make more of these.

Hehe I did try to go for a dusty look rather than muddy.

The base is just household filler from my local poundshop. I used some polystyrene to build up the hedgerow.

Very nice work, I like your use of the trees and the pic from the target end certainly shows how difficult one of these would be to see before it opened fire. Well done.

The figs and the gun are well painted man! Very smooth finish bravo   :cheers2:

I'd hate to be the sherman with this point of view! :eeek: :eeek: :eeek:

Crazy good! :jd:

Is there a beginners forum in here for newbies like me, I wouldn't know where to start with something like that?!

Are the logs on the floor sections off a real twig, and the trees too?

Cheers,

Martin.

Cheers dude.

Yeah the logs and trees are real wood too.

Seems daft to buy some resin copy for something I can get in my garden lol.
