time for some pics of the build.
Image
under and top half glued together and sanded. but i also wanted to send the side rockets, vents, pilotbay, and the jet exhaust and ran into trouble. how to sand the little tiny bits.
i allready tryed sandpaper on a stirring stick. nope thats not it. didn't want to spend hours of sanding du to a lack of time. ooooooohhhhh lightbulb!!!!!
in the past i did some projects with glass, looked thrue some boxes and then i found it.........? i call it my 10 second sandpaper.
Image
AKA the sandblaster. i used to make drinkglasses and mirrors you see below.
Image
Image
Image
but i had a problem the sandblaster wasn't strong enough, so i upgrated to a bigger one and ditched this one in a box never to be seen again untill now.
it works like a dream.
Image
Image
it gets a little dusty but it's faster then sanding by hand. the sand in it is aluminumoxide and the blaster is from badger
so maybe it's a handy tip in the future maybe not but i'll try to use it more often. didn't try it on painted surfeses yet but maybe soon.
thanx for reading. hope you enjoy.
