Northrop YB-49

Post by Mike00 »

Well her it is my Northrop YB-49. This has been a fun build I don't usually do planes. The bare metal finish of the YB-49 was a challenge for me. The shiny surface shows all of the flaws. I used this as a learning experience and think when I tackle another bare metal finish I think I could achieve a better finish. This model is huge. It has a 28 inch wingspan and the shape of the plane was very challenging to photograph. Thanks to everyone that followed, and I hope you guys like this build.

Well done, definitely catches the eye. Always impressed when someone takes on a silver challenge and pulls it off.

You've inspired me to build my YB-49 (but not just yet)! It's a tough one to photograph though, being so large!
