New jets?

Post by Ozzie21 »

Ventured out into the world today and ended up at a hobby shop. Not my favourite place as he is expensive but found something of interest, an Airfix double kit called "Front Line Fighters". The box contains a pair of 1/48th kits of a Tornado F3 and Jaguar GR 3/ES.I never saw these models listed in the Airfix catalogue. Upon inspection I can now see that the must be reruns of older kits, raised panel lines and the like.
So this has been an expensive week, bought a new airbrush after seeing Paul's effort on the Airfix Bf109 E-1/3/4, bought an Academy kit of an RAAF F-111C, bought a Dragon kit of an M7 Priest with Fuilmodel tracks. Plus I got 6 new locos for my model railway :jd: with more on the way.
I guess now my only excuse is I don't have a spray booth so I can't really spray anything :shifty: Anyway my leave is nearly over so it's back to work next week. I also now have to chase down a Challenger II, I think the one I have in my stash is a Tamiya Challenger I, so I can join the group build and make something worthwhile.

Paul, isn't the middle of the night up there : Don't plumbers ever sleep
Have found myself a Trumpeter Challenger II which should be on it's way in an hour so I'm really running out of excuses now.

I'll try and post some pictures of the sprues. Some of them look okay, others not to sure. Cockpits could use some additional help so I'll have look and see who has some decent dress up gear.
