Looking for recommendations for Glazing solution

Post by m0gb0y74 »

Hi,

I need to glaze some small viewing ports on my B-24. What glazing fluid would you recommend?

I have tried Humbrol Clearfix but it ends up filled with bubbles and is really awful to work with as it is sooo thick and gloopy. I have also tried PVA but I wasn't so sure of the results.

I have seen seen Glue n Glaze by Deluxe Materials (I love their other products) and Microscale Micro Krystal Klear. Glue n Glaze claims it will fill bigger gaps and I have a window about 6mm wide.

Thanks,

James :-)

I've used Krystal klear to do windows bigger than 6mm and it looks pretty cool. Worth a try.

I'm going to try larger "windows" or Port holes using this UV resin stuff that's banding around...
I've given it a go on the dials of my "Eggplane" and it seems to work well (I'll be trying this a little more.. I have an idea..)

(Sorry about the low res, think you get the idea though)..
