Weathering aircraft cockpits

Hi guys

I have wanted to weather aircraft cockpits for a while but haven't had a go. I just wanted to ask a question after you have painted the cockpit do you give it a clear coat before you start weathering or do you just weather it. Also I know this question is not about weathering but if I wanted to photocopy the painting guide to cut out the camouflage pattern for 1/48 scale aircraft how large would that be for example would i set the photocopier at say 125 or would it be more. Thanks for any and all information recieved, I really appreciate it.

I think it is trial and error o photo copying because every instruction sheet has various sized diagrams of camo.

I would always put a varnish coat of klear cote down after painting. Enjoy your experimenting. Have a look at pauls videos, I think he used hairspray on the corsair. Use youtube as there are so many ways for cockpits. I love pigments myself.

I treat the cockpit the same way as I treat the outside of the aircraft, following the same steps....pre-shade, airbrush, gloss varnish, decals, weathering and a matte coat to finish, then with a small brush- gloss coat the areas that should have a sheen to them, like instrument panel dials, rear-view mirror, goggles, buckles etc.
