Italeri 1/35th M923 "Hillbilly" Gun truck

Post by Tamiyasnob »

Finished this a couple of day,s ago, so thought I would share with you guy's
Built OOB and using Tamiya and Mr Metal buffable metallic,s.
Ultimate dark dirt, light dirt and rust wash,s and Tamiya weathering set,s to give it the used and abused look.
So on with the photo's

And there you have it, nice kit to build with no fit issue.s, but tricky to get the multi-part chassis to line up square. Tyre,s are two piece so a nasty seam line to get rid of. Also the floor is not wooden as depicted in this kit but steel sheet to take the extra wieght of the applique armour and the .50 cal and it's mounting. All these issue,s will be corrected when I build my next one, but probably the "big foot" version.
Colour call out,s
Main body colour :Tamiya XF 57 Buff
Tyre,s: XF85 Rubber black
Cab interior : XF67 Nato green, khaki seat's
Applique armour sheet's :XF9 Hull red, XF64 Red brown and weathering as described above.
Anyway cheer's and happy modelling, Dave.

Awesome!
Ehm... can't help it, but seeing the armoured plates and the bulbar and all, it really made me think of an episode of "The A-Team".... They could of put it together in a shed the always were trapped in...

Anyway, I love this model
Weathering is simply superb mate.

:cheers2:

Funny, I could hear the A-Team theme in my head looking at the pics!

The steel looks incredible just like what you'd find outside a metal-shop.
