MiniArt 1/35 Dingo Mk III Scout Car

Post by chief5437 »

My first miniart kit, been dying to start this, I was going to use it for the D-Day GB but couldn't hold out any longer!
Image

Quite a lot of plastic for a small subject, and a sheet of PE too. So far I'm loving this, if I didn't know better, I'd swear this was a Dragon kit! Loads of detail, masses of tiny parts, and some slightly vague instructions. Lol!

Progress so far...

Not much to look at but did I tell you that I'm LOVING this kit so far?! Ha ha!

That's all for now, cheers for looking! :cheers2: :cheers2: :th:

Just watch the fit of the bodywork, I built this a few years ago and it's not the best fit.

Next update is here, got everything assembled, apart from antennas and Bren gun. Interior is painted, need to cover that up, then it's ready for spraying.

Wheels are just dry fitted in the pics, I'll paint them separate.
I've really enjoyed building this, it's a great kit. A couple of Dragonesque problems with the destructions, but nothing a bit of dry fitting and forward thinking doesn't take care of.
I haven't made the figures yet, I'm planning a dio with my M10 (if I ever get it finished!) so I may not need them.

Anyways, thanks for checking it out guys, cheers!

Enjoying watching your progress, Chief.

I'm impressed with the level of detail with the MiniArt kits, and you're doing a cracking job with this one. :thumb2:

Thanks for the comments guys! :cheers2:

Got this finished today. Just minimal weathering as the plan is to put it in a dio with some other stuff. So I'll add more when I get to the right stage.

I really enjoyed this kit, goes together a lot like dragon kits. Lots of parts which means lots of detail. Destructions are very Dragonesque too, a bit vague in places.

Overall, highly recommended!

On to the piccies...

fabulous detail but you can get a bit bogged down with the amount of detail at times, lots of very small parts :jd:

Chief that is some really amazing work as always, definitely the kind of kits to refine your patience with and what a super finish.
