Masking tape question

Hi guys!
Just a quick question about masking tape.
I use Modelcraft Masking Tape for all my masking jobs, but I never leave the tape on the model long.
I mask, and after that I'm spaying the paint onto the model and take off the tape again.

Now, At this moment I'm masking all the red stripes from my BSG Viper MKII.
But There are a lot of lines to cut out and to be applied straight on the model.
As I can only do a bit of modelling in the evening due to my work, this job will take me longer than one day.
That means that the tape will probably be on the model until this weekend.

Will it come off without damaging the paint?

I was wondering if someone knows..

I leave mine on for more than a month sometimes Frans, but I use Tamiya tape mate

lol... I just ordered Tamiya tape for I just ran out of tape
Read that Modelcraft is similar to Tamiya, but I saw and read better reviews of Tamiya, so time to swith!
So I can leave it on for a while than eh? phew!
Masking the Viper isn't as easy as I thought..

You can always remove some of the adhesive from the tape by sticking it down on something like the top of a desk first, then applying it to the model.

To give it a low tack you mean.
But doesn't that give it a risk on paint bleeding?

No as long as it pushed down properly it's fine

i have a question relating to masking(tape)
i have seen a different product then regular masking tape
frisk mask/foil i think it is called
this is a transparent foil that comes in larger sheets and rolls
i think the advantage is that it's not made using a natural fiber ao no small burring if the knife didn't went all the way trough
but is this any good for modelling?
