Airfix 1/72 Folland Gnat T.1

Post by Lee »

This is one that's been in my tubs of doom for a over a year now and seeing as I had a little time I thought I'd finish it off. It's a great little kit from Airfix, which goes together very well, I just don't do 1/72 anymore.

The silver coat was painted a long time ago and then put in a tub of doom so, I've painted the orange, de-caled with minimal weathering. Not weathered much as the trainers are usually kept in top notch condition, but I've added a few streaks as well as the obligatory panel wash with Ultimate Dark Dirt.

It's not as pretty as I'd like, but it's another finish for me

Nice work, Lee!

Can you tell me what paint you used as this orange colour? I'm looking for something that is not Humbrol, especially within GSI Aqueous range.

Cheers,
Radek

I'm pretty sure it's Mr Hobby Aqueous #14 Orange Gloss, if not it's #24 Orange Yellow. Pretty sure it's #14 though :)

That looks really good Lee! I don't know why, but you keep building kits that I've thought of getting! It's like you're spending my money for me! I'm deffo going to get one of these now, lol!
