Help required please

I plan to start my build of the revell 1:600 starship enterprise I was wondering if anyone as built this i'm a little confused as to some of the painting of the clear parts they call out for silky black and white do i paint both sides of these parts or just the inside ( I don't plan on lighting this one as it's my first attempt as this)
