Eduard BF 109E-4 1/48

After watching Paul's great Airfix 109 build i was inspired to build another 109, i've already built the airfix kit twice, and a fine kit it is.
I thought this time i would give the Eduard kit a go, at £21 with the photo etch and the masks its good value to , will try and add some scratch build detail to the engine to really show it off.
just need to decide on the colour scheme.

Cheers mate, I don't get a lot of feedback from my videos, nice to hear something positive

Looks a great kit, hope it builds as well as the airfix one, nice to see it come with all the PE goodies too.

Video is looking just fine. I remember the first video I did, I felt a complete idiot as if I was talking to myself. But you get used to it. Good luck with the build and YouTube.

Quick update with some photos, I haven't had a lot of time the last week or so and I've been trying to complete the hobbybos FM-2 wildcat I started as a quick weekend build about 6 weeks ago. I wanted to get the wildcat finished so I can concentrate on the 109.
I have made some progress

The engine built and painted using mr hobby metalizer paints

The cockpit is almost complete and I started to build up the Wing section so far its all going together like a dream

And the model that is hold the build up, almost there (I will put some photos when complete, in the appropriate area of coarse.)

If a model is holding up a group build it better be a good one and by Joe it is, that is a sweet looking Wildcat. Nice engine as well.

i can't see the photos as well, but regardless is a nice kit, I just got the Bf 109 E-3 Profipak, so I'll keep an eye on your progress! I'll also check your YT channels as well, Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Ok so I have finally made some progress, after having a week off work

Basic build now completed, I've decided to have the engine cowling closed, part due to time and I wanted the model to go side by side with the Airfix 109 I made early in the year. I though it might be useful to have a comparison.
I have also brought so resin exhausts, although the kit supplied are good they are separate pieces and I suspect these will be a pain to align.
these are for the Tamiya kit but they seem to fit.

A cote of Vallejo primer, surprisingly this did not hide any of the very fine riveting detail on the model

next a cote of Mr Metal Colour Stainless, I,m going to be brave and try the hairspray technic for the first time, no hairspray in the house so I purchased some AK worn Effects fluid, I know I could have just gone to boots and brought some hairspray

underside and sides painted Mr hobby RLM 65 (H67), then masked off ready for the Mr Hobby RLM02

next the MR hobby Dark Green RLM 71
Due to the worn effects fluid some of the Paint came off when removing the masking, but it looks ok I only gave the model one cote as I didn't what the weather effect to extreme, the instruction call for 2-3 cotes.
after a white cote the yellow wing tips and tail where completed with Tamiya yellow with a little white added, as the instructions suggest RLM27 which seems to be a much paler yellow them Tamiya's XF-3

Side Camo completed and a cote of Klear
