So, yesterday afternoon in the UK, was quite a treat weather-wise. The Sun was out, and having worked from home in the morning, to about Midday, I mowed the Lawns and Strimmed the edges.
The afternoon was not so good

I realised my Bank Debit Card was due to expire at the end of the month. This was flagged up by Amazon, as this card was Expired. It wasn't, but you get the picture
Not having seen a replacement card in Post, I contacted Bank, and that was a complete loss of two hours I'll never get back
Pushed from Pillar to Post.
Even told that this was not high priority. I explained to the nice Girls on Chat, that I was currently shopping for four over 84's who were in Isolation. That did keep me hanging on
Although, nothing came of it, and I still have no card. Just need to keep eye on post.
I then spent another hour on phone to Mortgage Provider, trying to find out where my application for Mortgage Holiday was. Three weeks since we applied and nothing happening. The email I sent to the email address given, has been terminated, and now we have to reapply
So having come back into Garden, fuming and wound up to merry hell. Mrs DW, knowing me well, says,
"Don't go into M/C and Model, you'll Balls it up"
Shes right, she knows me to well.

As she lay on Sun Lounger with Kindle in one hand and a Cold Glass of something French in the other, I stride off to M/C.
So where are we with this model as of Thursday afternoon?
We left it at this stage,
Last piece to attach from model, is a thin, uber small piece of PE that holds up Canopy, like a 1/48 scale Bonnet / Hood stick
That with a fine Tweezers gets some C/A either end and carefully attached.
I re-check Instruction, once and again for anything left off,I have missed. Nothing.
Next job, some Pigments.
First, Mig Pigments, Black Smoke, P023. Tiny bit on the end of Q-Tip / Baby-Bud and applied to Exhaust Outlets and MG ports. Residue wiped off with a clean Bud.
Same again with Mig Pigments, Light European Earth, P415, again with Q-Tip around Wheels, Undercarriage bays and Undercarriage struts, then along all of the underside of Wings and Fuselage. Residues removed again with clean Bud.
I then used a brilliant product from AK, weathering pencils.
I bought the Green set for Armour some months ago, and was really impressed.
I bought the Grey / Light Blue set for this model.
Applied along Panel lines on Wings on top-side, Front to back, i.e. Slipstream, and Feathered out with a damp brush.
Really fantastic effect. Its difficult to see but really easy and wonderful effect.
Last effect, was some AK Engine Grime applied with a fine tipped Brush to Engine areas and in and around Exhaust Outlets. Nothing to much, just a mere suggestion of Oil. I need to remove a tiny, tiny piece of thread on down part of Ariel / Rigging Thread. I think the Front Canopy part could be a bit tighter to Fuselage, but not worrying to much.
That, concluded that. Don't add more, or you'll spoil it.
Mrs Dior (Fashion Queen), advised Ladies when dressing to go out and wow, take the last item you put on , off. Basically, don't overdo it.
I feel, with all these amazing products available, that we all, to a certain extent, overdo Weathering at times. I know I'm a massive culprit.
I have tried to keep Chipping and Weathering effects to the bare minimum with this model.
Am I happy with this model and build?
Yeah, its been interesting and frustrating, and taught me new tricks that I haven't accomplished in 35 Years
By the way, Mrs DW.....You were wrong about modelling when frustrated, sometimes, just sometimes, it works

All looking good on the beasty and some happy thoughts from your family, cant go wrong there. Be good and be safe

. Actually, found myself enjoying it after a while. I do though prefer a couple of decals on a AFV, compared to the stencils galore that you get with a plane.
