As for the tracks, yes I do have many left.
Friul alway suplies extra track links.. Got about 20 left I belief.
I use them for spare tracks. I used 96 links in one track.

nice one Frans! Looks brilliant. Weathering is spot on, can't wait to see it on the base. I always forget something too. Infact, I've forgotten to do any work on my tiger, I've lost all interest in it as I can't do what I had in mind for it, yet! I've built two spitfires and a destroyer though! Lol!

Dude!
She's a beauti. I love that fire extinguisher. The different shade of green is perfect. It gives it that added later quality. It's perfect.
It's always the little things like that that knock a model out of the park.
That figure is really awesome too, this will be very much a centrepiece of a collection. Nicely done so far Frans!

I agree with the small details, makes all the difference.
planning of adding a bucket and maybe a chain or something.
I was doubting of adding stowage or not, but I like this tiger as it is now. That figure is a Alpine figure of a NCO.
Had it in my spare box., I think it fits the scene perfectly
Cheers mate!

Another update
I was missing something on the Tiger.
Something that makes this Tiger more personal.
So I scratch build a ladder, added some rope on it, and a bucket with tools.
The ladder was hung on two hooks that I scratched from some left over PE.

With that done, I decided to get cracking again with the base.
I added grout between the stones with a stone grey and light sand mixture of Vallejo pigments.
Wiped of all excess, and sealed it with matt varnish.

Then I began weathering the whole building.
Chipping is done with Vallejo acrylics.
Brown and yellow for the big chips with a brush, rust brown for the small chips with a sponge.
Added a dark wash, a green wash for the moss, and a brown wash on the stones.
Streaking grime was used for making the rain marks.
The factory sign was supplied with the kit, and glued on with wood glue.

All together....

I'm definably getting there now!
Have to find a way to glue the heavy building to the light base now.
All that remains now, is painting the figure, and some last bits and bobs.
That will all been seen in the final update that's coming soon. Stay tuned! lol
Thanks for dropping by guys, happy modelling!

I'm glad with the result myself.
First time painting a diorama in oils, turned out better then I thought.
Just one figure left to paint, and some props to add

Tank you!
This base is going to be used for a photo display.
When I have finished a new build, it's going to stand in front of the building for a photo.
So this factory is going to be busy!

Hello everybody!
The last couple of days I had fun making a stop motion animation of this Tiger.
I love doing crazy things like this!
I have 2 small video's for you guys to watch.
One that I put music and a ww2 ambiance under, And one in full colour.
Without the music, but with original tiger sounds....
The quality of this animation is not top quality, I'm not working at Pixar or Disney....
The tracks and wheels are not animated for obvious reason.
The tracks are metal, and would damage the paint work on the road wheels.
Just enjoy!

Hi guys!
After making that funny stop motion movie, I decided to paint the NCO figure.
The figure is a Alpine figure, that is really nicely moulded.
It did not needed any cleaning up, so that was nice for a chance...
The face is painted in a English uniform and sunny skin tone 1:2 mix as a base.
The lowlights was simply done by adding red brown to that mixture, the highlights was made by basic skin tone.
His uniform received 2 high diluted coats of German tanker black.
All paints used are Vallejo acrylics.

Uniform finished with black shadows, and highlighted it with black/brown.
All markings like the sleeve band and medals and SS arking on his collar are hand painted.
No decals are used here.
With these last details, this figure is finished, and ready to be put in the diorama when I have finished the props for it.

NO SMOKING ALOWED.... sure.... not for a NCO bad ass....

And here he is in front of the Tiger.

This will be the last update on this tread guys.
All comments are welcome!
When I finished the props, I will put all together and go over to the reveal section.
That properly will be next weekend!
Thank you for dropping by, and happy modelling!

Thank you very much my Lord
This figure is one f the best so far.
I Had some doubts about his uniform first.
The Jacket was matt fabric, but the trousers should be leather according to my references.
But The trousers came out way to shiny, and I hated that.
Someone said to me that his uniform looks like a U boat uniform now, but I disagree.
I like his uniform as it is now, just matt.
