What modelling goodies did the postman deliver today....

Some of this is HamilKarBarkas' fault, he demonstrates methods and products on his videos and I see the potential in what he's done and wham... I'm at the computer trying to find this or that.

I think Mk35 Productions has some superb stuff to offer, pretty much everything is cool! Their house models are great and not too expensive (if people are tired of quite fiddly MiniArt houses then Mk35 is the best alternative).
Here i used two of their houses on a Normandy diorama, i think they look superb, no MiniArt building can reach their look.

Bugger... there goes the budget again!

I can't argue that MK has an amazing line.
They also pack their shipments to survive a nuclear war.
Even so, a few pieces were broken.
Nothing that I can't fix, I wasn't surprise though, they are only made of plaster.

I've heard some good things about this kit and a few bad.
It has great detail and fit; optional road wheels; easy ball-and-chain armour; beautiful decals.
Unfortunately it doesn't have any non-skid texture, and it has open sponsons.
That wouldn't stop me from picking one up... and a bottle of Mr. Surfacer.
Nice buy.

cheers coen got it for £31 delivered cant wait to get started on it I'm just researching add ons and stuff first. Best non slip effect I've seen so far as been pva painted on and aquarium sand sprinkled on like glitterlot of work but looks the nuts

I received this yesterday

A bit smaller than I expected seeing as I ordered an Airbrush Spray Booth. I opened it up to find these:-

I wouldn't have thought the two could be mixed up, especially as the accompanying delivery note is for an Airbrush Spray Booth!
I've contacted the seller to let them know but so far I've had no response.

I can't find a brand name on them. I looked them up on Ebay and they are listed at £94, that's approximately £15-16 each - so entry/ budget level. Although they do look impressive with six all together in the box.

Those duck bills will be a bugger to build, but they are really nice when they're all finished.
I used a set on one of my Shermans last year. I also tried a set of Panda Plastics, the jury is still out at to which one I liked.

So that's a camera trolley? Made from PVC and what looks like skate board wheels... cool!

Airfix Hawker Hurricane MkI and Hawker Fury I, both in 1:48 from my flying hours.

Yesterday spotted some Airfix 1:72 "Daily Mail" issue Spitire Mk1a giftsets for £0.99p in a local newsagents so I got myself 5. Had a look today and it looks quite a good little kit, engraved panel lines, some cockpit detail glue, three acrylics and a paintbrush. But moulded in some strange light green quite hard styrene. But hey 99p

So i've been buying a few things, getting delivered a few things and getting brought a few things

the two kits on the left hand side was a present from the family off holidays *happy bunny* and then the kits on the right i got cheap on amazon, the M16 *nice kit

* will be part of my WW2 group build along side my sherman calliope tank and the other i just liked the look of it so why not

and then i went down modelzone yesterday while it lasts

and got a few weathering powders and decalfix and then abit of 00 track??? why the track you ask?? but more about that later

Brummie, I built that M16 halftrack when I was a kid. I think its one of those Revell kits you get a little diorama base with.

Nice one on the airbrush Guppy, I will be getting myself one of those in the future I hope.

Ah great mate, you will love it, just be careful as it goes a long way, make sure you wipe the brush of once on the bottle before applying or it'll end up everywhere and just touch it where you want it.

I needed no postman to get this: My new airbrush compressor and gun, my old one (which is the same) had an issue with the pressure sensor so i gave this one my friend to repair it. In the meantime i bought me a new one as the old one was already quite old and worn out.
The gun is the same as the one i have already, i will use the new one for detail work where more accuracy is needed.
For this stuff i payed 140€ in the local building supplies store.

The brand is ROWI, they sell all kinds of tools and have little variety when it comes to airbrushing. I have indeed great confidence in the brand, my last compressor served me well 4 years i think till the pressure sensor stopped working. My friend already repaired it and it is functionable again (it will serve as my reserve compressor now). Overall i think this compressor has a great price/value ratio, maximum pressure is about 6 bar (which is by far not needed for airbrushing), it deliveres pretty much constant pressure while spraying (although it has only one zylindre so most compressors constructed this way only deliver alternating pressure). The name is 148/23/1 i think, it contains the compressor, a bottom fed double action gun, a pipe and some useful tools. 99€ for such a set is pretty nice in my opinion.
The gun i bought along this compressor set is beneficial, easy to clean and dissassemble. It is a top fed double action gun. I don´t like bottom fed ones like the gun that came with the compressor so i got a different one.
