I like the consistency of the framing style you have done on them :thumb2:
That is going to look awesome and something to consider for my own spaces
I can't take the credit for that it was Sarah's thinking but I framed them lol
They look really good. Glass in there too???
Yeah we used that anti reflection stuff cost a bomb but they do look good

Hi Dan
Still staring with envy and a question has popped in my head.
Are you leaving walls as or plastering?
I really like the walls as.

I know what you mean I would be loving that space.
Looks to be gyprock...plaster with a paper covering. In order to protect the wall it is usually painted/ screw holes filled...etc.

It's staying like that just with some paint on the walls hopefully it'll look ok 👍🏻

You could get away with not painting and it still would look amazing.
I used OSB board in Man-Cave and ummed and ahhed over painting the board, but in the end left it natural.
Still love the look.Image

Well the worktop has arrived but can't do anything with it till I get back off my Holliday 😎 Now don't get me wrong I love going on holiday but I've got loads to do still and could use the holiday time to get ahead with the cave lol but I couldn't help but unpack one and lay it down to get a feel for what it will look like, I do have to trim the back edge about 120mm to make it work with the cabinets and the off cut hopefully will be used as a stand up/splash back at the back edge I know I will be laying on the beach with what I'm going to do with it all when I get back lol but sometimes you can't just switch off when your enthusiastic about something

I have spent many holidays in the company of Mrs DW, not paying any attention to the lovely surroundings and the soft lilt of Mrs DW voice, only on planning something next in the Man Cave
This is gonna look superb, seriously superb.

My modeling room is about that same size, but just a room in our home. I am so totally jealous of your space. Part of my trouble staying at the bench is just being able to hop up while wet paint dries and move onto something else. Being separated might actually make me get more done!

Not so happy with the mental image of your pasty white @55.

See that's my thing Matthew, as my Man-Cave or Shed to some, is outside, and despite a low crime rate, securely locked with three locks, Security Bar and padlocks (what the hell that conjures up, God knows :eeek: ), and being outside, I have to plan my trips to my den.
I can't just up sticks in the middle and shoot off and do something else. I kind of wish I could, but instead, I have to sit quietly, and behave whilst I fling a bit of TET around
Their are benefits to Stand-Alone Den's and those using a spare room or space in the home.

Haha I’m hoping that being in my own space helps with my modelling with me being in the bedroom at the moment I’m struggling for space to do more than one thing at a time painting and building wise so I’m hoping that I can have a few more things going on and another note I can be as loud as I want and no one can wine at me lol and getting back to Dw saying about security I have a seven point locking door that has just a regular key which makes it so much easier to pop in and out of the house as and when but I’m thinking of installing a communication device so I can call up for refreshments and food not sure how that will go down but I’ll approach that with caution pmsl

I thought of a piece of string and two cans, but mobile works perfectly
I had an under-counter fridge from Currys for a £70, which I told the Mrs was for keeping C/A cold  .
It serves better use though, for keeping milk cold for coffee, and for beer and even Mrs DW likes the fact, she can get a cold glass of wine in the Summer when shes sunning herself in garden.
Security is a very good point for outside units, even if in a low crime area. I even declared what was going on in Man-Cave with Insurance, ensuring adequate cover for everything. This I think is a important point often missed. If we all totted up our contents for just modelling, I think we would all be shocked. Average kit at £40 - £50, need I go on.

and a Co2 or Powder Fire Extinguisher is a good buy
Enjoy the holiday Dan.

yeah it seems like I'm taking massive steps now, once all the big stuff is done and out the way it'll probably slow down a bit but hopefully not to much it's the small details that can slow down a build of any description 👍🏻👍🏻

See, this is where I don't get it.
The big house in London, which met on Saturday?
Don't know a%£ from elbow. Can't sort anything out.
Yet, our relationships with partners, is a give and take attitude. Isn't that a basis though of living together?
Venture an idea with the other half, let it sit for a while, mulling over, then let him or her take credit.
Negotiations, politics its all on here :th:

Lol yeah we seem to manage fine at home, but those in power seem to forget that as soon as they get in said big house then it's all about how much money they can either make or swindle out the small working man but make it look like a good idea and that it's the future to save England instead of listening to the people and making Britain great again by not being greedy and hurting its citizens I think there is a possible fix for all this but with everyone in the big house out for themselves it's not going to be pretty or benefit anyone but the rich which is sad really

Been in the cave this evening got it all fixed in place now just to run a bead of silicone around it all then move onto the next thing that needs doing but at least it's going in the right direction I've also covered the trunking on the back wall just a bit on the other wall to do 😎

And this is all the waste I got out of 11 meters of worktop not to disappointed lol

Mein Gott, its beautiful.
It does remind me very much of a Dentists room. Its giving me the slightly weird Heebie Jeebies as I look at it. :eeek:
I do though love it.
This pace of work though with all that goes on around, with life and crap, it gives you time to plan ahead.
It really is a awesome work space.

It does remind me very much of a Dentists room. Its giving me the slightly weird Heebie Jeebies as I look at it. :eeek:
I do though love it.
This pace of work though with all that goes on around, with life and crap, it gives you time to plan ahead.
It really is a awesome work space.

About February 2021 mate 😉 I'm hoping that somewhere near Christmas I might be modelling in there but don't want to put a hard deadline on it so I'm not pressured lol

A very small update the tumble dryer turned up today and the maintenance department (me) must have missed a memo about the size increase so had to do some surgery to the cave to accommodate said massive piece of metal 😳 Anywho got it in with the help of a reciprocating saw and swear words 🙄😂😎Image
Also got some silicone done on one half of the cave it looks so much neater and gives that finished look

I am going to reassemble the worktop over the new dryer so there's somewhere to put the basket also it'll make it look better I hope 🤔🙃

Saws and swearing will fix almost anything. For the rest there is blood and hammers.
