Plopper, you have a a little plastic container that has your brush's in....where did you get that from, if I may ask?....looks like something I could do with.

It's a kitchen tidy, I use 2 exactly the same. It's what your knives and forks dry in after washing if you do it the manual way.

hi gazmat, gigger303 is right. Sorry I can't help you on the exact thing as I got it from the charity shop that I work in after it had been donated, saw it on the bric 'a' brac shelves and thought I know what I can do with that and bought it.

But I have seen almost the exact same thing in places like Wilkos and some pound shops around the place.

Mine has another compartment but you get the idea!

It sure does. But I do try to have a mini clean up at the end of every day. And I have a little ritual! As I have never overlapped building two models I always give the whole shed a good clear out/cleaning before I start my next project.

I have to make do with my kitchen work top.

I love the British tradition of building a "shed in back of the garden." These are always my favourite photo tours. Keep 'em coming!

Davethepitch, back in the day mine was the kitchen table or a desk in my bedroom. Man I used to stink the place out!!!

I've been given the green light to get a new shed by the wife! I'm going to enjoy choosing one, this is not something to be rushed.

Nice place to start back!

Good start and welcome

Here is my little corner of the modelling world.A little messy but it is a brilliant space and works a treat, but my 10 year plan is to strip out the entire room which is part of the garage, and insulate. Then get kitset kitchen bench cabinets and out fit the 3 walls of the room. I do share the other half of the room with my wife who makes wine. Oh and get rid of the carpet monster and replace with wood looking vinyl flooring.

That looks like a nice place to work late at night

Very envious of your spot in the house and your long term plan is a beauty. I might add some info about the flooring. I have that type of vinyl floor, wood pattern with the extra thick backing. It stands up to the rigors of my office chair well, but if I spill pigment or paint ( should say when I spill ) It does get into the wood grain pattern and can be a bugger to get off. It does come off so far although I have yet to spill lacquer on it....I guess it will happen knowing me.

Mines is a generic kitchen table with a Humbrol work station and cutting mat, piles of paint etc. in a cardboard box in the kitchen cupboard or behind my chair.

I just have to use a kitchen work top.

So do I , but only place I can put it is one of the main rooms....SWMBO has forbidden it. So it is either getting her to relent or waiting for hell to freeze over before it is going to happen.....

If I had twice the space, I'd just keep buying kits to fill it, resulting in no net gain in my work area. Eight square metres is plenty of space for me.

Can you show us a plan plan..is the closet on the right and your photo is from the door way I guess. Whats on the left side. The bottom right hand wall ...what is on the skirting board, why is it raised off the floor...Is it a heating system.

I was wrong ...WIKI say's it was Rumpole of the Baily , but even way before that in the 1800's in the fictional book. I won't bore any one stupid with the details....
