Came today from BNA in Australia - took longer getting the 150 miles from the import centre to me than it did the several thousands of miles from Australia to the UK......
Its the artillery crew thats the final part (I hope) for the D30 diorama!

Isn't it always like that with shipping? I live out in the middle of nowhere and my packages always take the same amount of time coming from my post office as they do coming to me half way across the country

Not really, but it did carry 2 small under wing bombs ....so I think it qualifies

Looking at the box art of the truck is suggesting it's tired

It looks better than the terminator 2 I have and sort of reminisce of the ontos from the 60-70's.

Looking might expensive too - I went through the paint requirements tonight and just for the variant I want to do it topped out at over £100!! Its a beautiful kit though - as an example all the missiles are packed in a box on mini-sprues to prevent damage. And its BIG. The fuselage is easily 3/4 the length of the box without the nose and tail sections......

Early Ukranian - best I can describe it as is pre-digital splinter pattern in two tone grey plus blue. I'm not fussed over national markings but the cammo scheme really caught my eye.

Likely to be a long wait as I sneak the paint past the wife in dribs and drabs - then an even longer build. There are a LOT of parts - and PE - so the build will take a fair while. And thats without the decals!! There a whole sheet just of stencils......

Likely to be a long wait as I sneak the paint past the wife in dribs and drabs - then an even longer build. There are a LOT of parts - and PE - so the build will take a fair while. And thats without the decals!! There a whole sheet just of stencils......

It'll be worth the wait gotta sneak the paints past the missus of course

Her car was exactly this.


The kit is right hand drive only, so will have to do some dashboard surgery

I finally got a nice rotary tool. The motor is powerful enough with enough torque to operate at very low rpm.

My overheating Proxxon came with a foot pedal that I use for my Dremel, but it is just on-off. Even with basic functionality it is useful. This one is speed control. There appears to be a set screw that I can use to limit the travel and rpm. I need to read up more before I start cranking on it. I also bought a longer flex shaft.
