Some nice buys there Digger

shame the tracks were DS . The medal sounds very intriguing. I have a couple of cap badges myself (an RAF and D.L.I. one) not my own-RAF was my brothers and the D.L.I. was an older relative, I have put the RAF one on display (well, rested against) the Spitfires and other aircraft. Maybe you could do a similar/far more professional job with one of your tanks.

Got these two today. Tried to primer the dodge yesterday and noticed my airbrush needle was like a dogs back leg, so have ordered a cheap and cheerful (I hope) replacement.

Continuing my recent Spanish Civil War theme...
According to some reviews I've seen it builds up ok, but the suspension & tracks are especially fiddly... one for the carpet monster to look forward to

I found a kit on eBay that I have been after for a while
Not able to find a full version, then this popped up and was in Canada close to me so trigger pulled
It is in extremely good condition right down to the instructions being in a plastic cover

That is a fantastic find

. Here's hoping it either gets a build thread or a superduper Twokidsnosleep 'project' thread (hint hint

).

Thanks, yes it was too good a find to turn down
Unfortunately time is precious at the moment so no timeline on a build
But I am well researched and have the tanker trailer kit as well and have printed a 3d deathproof duck
Might have to watch the Convoy movie again
Right?
You stop looking and then bam it just pops up right in your face when you least expect and usually at a bad time

The duck looks superb. You'd be quackers not to use it.

. As for the film, I watched it a few year back and surprisingly I would recommend a re-visit to our good friends Rubber Duck and Pig Pen (I thought it might have aged badly, luckily I was wrong)

Yes. I have the F-106 kit and want to see how he works on it.

Oh very nice.
Does the halftrack have more detail than a 1/35 or is a 1/35 scaled up ?

Stopped by the local game shop and picked up another WH40k mini. They're ungodly expensive; but, this one is the main character in several books.
Also picked up some white paint from the new "Two Thin Coats" from Duncan Rhodes. He used to work for Games Workshop, but went off on his own and made a new paint line. I've heard good things so far.

Hey digger, regarding the halftrack, it is what I would call museum quality details which are far above anything I've ever seen in 1/35. I also just received something for the Churchill AVLB kit:
I think that means we will be ready to work on it after the helicopter and F1 car builds.

Got these today from the veterans auction group on Farcebook:
Always like the look of the Stuka - went for the "Cannonvogel" version too but got outbid there.
And the King Tiger reminded of a dream I had when I as a lad of about 14 - relatives in the US sent me book called "Tiger" and I wanted to make a model of each version in the book.:
Tiger 1
Tiger II - King Tiger
Jagd Tiger
Tiger (P) Elephant
Sturm Tiger
So the King Tiger is a long overdue start in fulfilling that dream. Never built a Takom kit before so should be interesting - I just hope they aren't as dire as Amodel.....

Ropes of Scale, beige and tan, both in .7mm and .5mm. I didn't know what color or size I would like so I tried the ones I thought would be close. They seem to be a very high quality product. Shipping from Canada was quick as well. They said it would take 3 weeks but it only took 1.

Also some sheet brass in .001, .002, .004, .006, .008, .012, .016, and .02. Now, hopefully, I'll try my hand at some scratch building.

Hey, cool on the ropes of scale
I agree about hard to define size/diameter without feeling and seeing them in person...but at least not too expensive so can get a couple sizes.
You can melt the ends once you cut to prevent further unravelling
What will you use them on???

Nice haul BigWall, I think I could do with some of the rope too.
Neil, the King Tiger looks really nice too. Full interior, PE, Zimmerit, etc. I have the "G" model Stuka from Hasegawa in 1/32 so I'll be following your build to see and compare.

I suspect something to do with the Dambusters Raid [Operation Chastise].

It's a re-release of the original dio made by Amara plastics.

Got some US star decals and Infini medium, fine and super fine glass files. The files have an abrasive material fixed to them and are exactly what I've been looking for. They are a nice sized file instead of the really thin files from Tamiya and have the abrasiveness I've been looking for.

Also got some US tool clamps and a grab handle bending tool. The bending tool was pretty inexpensive. There is a more expensive one available, that apparently, doesn't have enough options for handle width. If you can't find the size you want on this jig, it's because your eye sight is as bad as mine.

Had a heap of parcels to sort through this morning after just getting back from a few days away.
What's not shown is a a 3d 1/35 motor bike and rider, a 1/9th motorbike rider ( probably a knock off) and more paint.

The postman knocked twice!!!!
First up - the payload for that honking great Mil:
Inside this was the dark grey paint for the Mil's floor.
Second knock brought these from the Veteranus auction group on FB:
And this:
Which came with all these resin, metal & vac-formed goodies:
Unfortunately I got out-bid at the last moment for Trumpeters 1/72 TU-16, Tu-22 and Tu-23 - but still.a goodly catch....

Spider is first on the build list - probably whilst the Mil is on hold waiting for that window.
Meantime - the DPD courier joined the queue at the front door...
This lot from Hornby as I couldn't source the Akan Aeroflot blue set.

Nothing very flash, but forgot to post my cheap and cheerful (for the time being) airbrush. Now I have a basic idea what to do, lets hope I don't annihilate this one. Also got a cheap brush (hairy stick variety) stand.
