No - but one maybe on its way. The super detailing stuff for this is awesome - and expensive!! Factory match decals alone are US$ 115 a set...

There is a reason I chose this one - I used to own one back in the late eighties, Black T-Roof with maroon leather interior and a 4 speed manual box. Bitterly regret selling it so I want to build this as a replica of NLR 87 V. :)

Even better for me - I actually owned one!! Black body with a Carmine Red interior and - being in the UK - all the emmission control stuff was removed. Couple that with a Muncie 4 speed box and it had the potential to be deadly to driving licences. :)

Got these three at the BLIZZCON Model show last week. Two kits and one modification pack.

      1/35: $4
      Image

      1/48: $10
      Image

      1/16: $75
      Image

The deals seemed to good to pass up. I know the Academy F-111A is an older kit and they have a much better one out but also much more expensive. I believe for $10 and a couple add on sets it should be respectable when done. I've looked at the 1/16 MRC Panzer kit for quite some time at around $139 or more, but for $75 it found its way home with me. Unlike some of the newer stuff from Andy's or Das Werks, the tracks on this are individually pinned (right and left). As for the M88 conversion, that was just too neat of a detail set to not have for $4. Now I just need to finish the diorama I started and the F9F Panther I committed to for the Korea build. I really need to speed up my building process....
On the table or recently completed:

      1/18 AV8-B Harrier - WIP
1/35 Churchill AVRE with SBG Bridge Diorama - DONE
      75mm BMW R75 WW2 motorcycle with rider - DONE

Bought these in an auction thinking I have a Bristol F2B and a Roland by WnW in the stash so good for a diorama:

Then remembered - the WNW kits are 1/32 NOT 1/48!!! Doh.....

Nice choices, just have to get a couple of 1/48 kits now :thumb1:

I picked up this older Italeri trailer kit not as good as Bronco does, but it will do.

        Image

When picking it up from the post office I couldn't remember buying anything so big , bulky and heavy. Needless to say I was surprised on opening to find not only my trailers, but to find all these books stuffed in the box too. I was surprised and happy and a little bit guilty feeling that I bought the kit for 5 dollars plus 9 for post only to have 3 kg of books where the extra post would have been another 10 and they aren't old cheap books either.
I'm going to have to slip them into the wifeys bookcase.....mines already full

Yes there's a lot of kit pricing thats gone stupid, about the only thing good about it for those that have a stash is it helps maintain values. Not that you want to know that however have to tried .......https://www.ebay.com.au/str/amain?_trks ... 61.l161211

Do you mean Tamiyas kit #24370 - Porsche GT3R?
If so Aliexpress have it listed at £27.31 for new buyers or £31.49 otherwise.

The Airfix club kit this year is the Me-410 - I fancied the German scheme rather than the RAF evaluation one - hence the Halenkreuz as the kits decals are -shall we say - sanitised!!
The supplied decals in the Flycatcher kit are likely - based on the Bulldog, Fury and Gladiator - to disintegrate in water. Of course - now I need a 1/48 Walrus..... 🤣🤣

Anyone ever heard of Taurus Models?
I scored this off an auction and it was delivered today, a 1/48 Macchi MC202 "Folgore" made by Taurus models.

I've heard of them but no clue as to quality. You could try Scalemates for any reviews.

Looks like a cool aircraft. Lots of rubbish spoken about the Italians in WW2 but there's many an RAF pilot who could have testified as to the skills of the Italian air force boys over Malta and North Africa.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

Neil, I looked at what you posted for the Macchi MC202 and made my comments there. All I can say is good luck on that one.

I'm very excited in my latest addition. It's been around for a long, long time from Hasegawa. we're talking decades! I've always looked at it pondering if I should purchase it or not.

I present my new to me 1/16 Sopwith Camel, F.1:

                      Image

                      Image

For the longest time I thought the airframe was made of real wood, but the kit is plastic. While that is welcome, it may prove more difficult making it look like , well, more like....... wood. There are numerous opportunities to add to or detail what is there too. I'm also considering adding the skin to half or all of it (half would be kind of neat). Now, where do the missiles and electronics go?

Has anyone here built this? If so, what is your report on this kit?

Does anyone know of a good seated pilot figure in 1/16 for this?

A few things from the mail as well as this past weekend’s model show.

                      In the mail: Decals!

These two have decals for planes stationed at Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee, Massachusetts when my dad was there.

                      Image

This has an F-4 from the Vermont Air National Guard. I’m collecting kits and decals for the Guard bases in Mass (where I was born) and Vermont (where I live).

                      Image
                      Image

This set just because it looks sharp. And who doesn’t love the F-4?

                      Image
                      Image

                      New Kits:

I’ve loved WW2 subs, especially the Gato class, since I was a kid.

                      Image

“The Thing From Another World” markings! Diorama maybe?

                      Image

A face only a mother could love.

                      Image

The F-102 was used in Vermont. So - Century Series jet and used in Vermont - what’s not to love?

Time for me to put a couple of things up. I've been a bit quiet on this thread ;) lately.
One kit of the Landwasser, now I already had one of these, but this boxing comes with the rope buffer which this kit really needs. So I'll no doubt put the other one up for sale.
Plus some supplies I picked up from my recent trip to the big smoke.

A half price sale saw me pick up these, not sure about the ICM paint but i've heard it's not bad. It's got the colours I need or at least a few of them and the Lifecolor set should be good for loads of stuff as long as I use them in the not too distant future.
                      Image

Took a while for one of these to pop up, but if you wait long enough a be a early worm one can get lucky.

Both the Artillery Tractor and Otter look really neat! Looking forward to seeing more on those.

Did you also get the gun and limber kit?

I already have the Dragon British 25pdr Field Gun Mk.II w/Limber which is why I was looking for a tractor.

Looks like some fine additions for everyone. I ran across a great deal once again on another ship. Since I've already finished the Arizona and Yamato, it was time to add a war ship from another country:

AWESOME.....going to take some time though. Since you seem to be going all out on this build,I'd like to recommend this model company who specialise in RAN ships and do AAA+++ work.

                        Hello everyone !

2 nice orders came in in the last week.

First off, a nice big order from VMS ! Love they products and I'm going to try a few new ones for the tank build.

ImageSans titre by Francis Pare, sur Flickr

A few pigments to add to my really small collections. A texture one made to make the pigments coarser. Their pigment jockeys that are kind of like a wash. But quite more versatile from what I've seen. We don't see it but I also bought the new primer, grey. Can't wait to try it as it looks to work pretty well. Realize I had forgotten to put varnish and masking fluid in my order.

And the second one ! Spring cleaning time !

ImageSans titre by Francis Pare, sur Flickr

3 new modules from Hobbyzone for my desk. I have a few and I think they're nothing better. While spring cleaning a reorganize my desk and my wardrobe where I put all my stuff. And I was in need for them. So I have 6 drawers and 2 drawers modules. And the last one is a 3 drawers but they tilt and are made to store paints and pots.
                        Francis

I ordered a CART racing car of Greg Moore who lived close by and was a Good Canadian kid until he died racing
Kit was in Canada and close by at a decent price, so……

I decided to take a punt on this set of 3d printed tracks after all they were on sale and I needed a set of panther tracks. These have metal pins.

I must say when I ripped the package asunder I was most surprised to find this lovely professional striking box art.

                        Sturdy and carefully boxed.

I had a quick try for fit with the pins and the first hole seemed a little loose, but once I punched it right the way home it didn't seem too bad.

                        :cheers2:

They look nice. I'm going to need some 'earlies' for a Tiger soon so its good to see these kind of products out there.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
