Looking awsome John I just found out how time consuming that carbon fibre decal is .so great work
Yeah, it's slow going paul. I've still the interior and rear wheel wells to do although the interior is the template set from scale motorsport.

The last picture was my first attempt at the hydraulic line/fittings but it just looked way too big so i had to drill a .5mm hole in a 1mm piece of styrene rod to drop the size.

The scratch on those callipers is great as is the colour! Zero paints or custom?
Also do you intend on display with wheels/panels off so you can show this fantastic work?

M/F, yeah Zero paints with the 2k clear. As for displaying - i havent really thought that far ahead i'm afraid but it makes sense to try and display as much of the detail as possible.
Here is a picture of the caliper before butchering the thing ! LOL.

Looking great! Loving that C/F work. And what's great about the luggage space is there's enough room for a tooth brush
And a spare pair of underoos! You know, for when you scare the crap out of yourself when you hit ludicrous speed.

Just keep going back over the photos of that brake detail you have done there John and it's is just

that is some seriously ocd detail mate you cannot cover all that gorgeous work up it would be a crime against detail fanatics mate leave at least one wheel off as if it were in Kwik Fit having a new boot on anything just don't cover that lovely work up or else
Seriously great work mate loving this build and thread

Guy's, i'm blown away with the great comments. I cant thank you all enough ! You know, we all build away on our own and totally get caught up in the work we put in without being able to take a step back to try and see it as others see it, so getting the positve and encouraging comments and respect from the immensly talented modelers on here and following this thread which you all undoubtedly are.
Gary, i've even thought about cutting the bodywork right down the middle with maybe the drivers door kept in tact and open.
I might speak to the hobby company to see if or what the cost would be for a replacement body set and rear window and whatever i would need to return it to a full car.
Geeze ! This thing is gonna be up at £2000 if i dont reign it in lol

Brakes look great plumbed up as well. I'd have a slight heart
Attack at the thought of cutting up a major and visible part
Like the body because if you don't like it......

Yeah, i would only consider cutting it up if i was able to get another set of body parts incase the worst happened. It would be ideal if it was possible to swap between the cut-away and full body if it could be done quickly and easily
Just as a side note. I use my phone to post on here but i've had to use a family members phone for the last couple of weeks or so as my daughter had mine and i have to say-it was great not having the thing. I felt a lot less stressed knowing it wasnt going to ring at any time with bad news or problems at work or even my daughter phoning looking for a lift and or money lol Aaaaaahhhhhhh, peace and quiet- priceless !!!!!!

Another few tricky parts c/f decaled. I think the parts that are still to be done are quite a bit bigger so should be a bit easier. I noticed a bit of dirt or something under the decal on one of the front brake ducts after it was way to late to remove lol.

it does feel as if it's dragging on a bit now ! The longest i've spent on a kit up till now was three months which curiously enough was the carrera GT in the same scale but that was just oob with no scratch or aftermarket.

So much quicker when working with flat surfaces !
Just really the seat backs and centre tunnel to do and thats pretty much the interior done (apart from the doors)
Then on to the engine bay i think. I'd like to detail that as much as possible if i can find enough reference pictures which have been tough so far.

It's been a while since i did any updates on the Enzo although i have been chipping away at it in the evenings after work.
Because of the carbon being just about everywhere and using the 2k clear to seal it, i really wanted a good amount of parts to be cleared at the one time because of the prep i have to do before spraying that stuff ! Almost feel we should be using one of those CSI suits lol.
I will take more detailed pics as it gets assembled. I noticed there was a cd with 170+ pictures of thr real car for £20 ish from scale motorsport which arrived the other day.

Trying to give the seat a bit of depth to it, it just doesnt look right at all with just red ?
I might need some help boys ? I've just made the third order today for cables, connecters and plugs that i hope will do the job of replicating the wiring under the bonnet at the front, and engine bay at the rear. I find it really difficult trying to buy the right parts from a picture on a website and i cant keep throwing money at this kit. I'll keep my fingers crossed i've got it right this time lol

i have to say here that i havent been using even methodical and carefull brush strokes, i've just been blasting the sh1t out of it ! Yeah, size of the wire is defo a concern. I've ordered .35 and .5mm size coloured wire with various sizes of black heatshrink. As for the plugs, i just was'nt sure how they were meant to be used and are they meant to be paired up with their male or female counterpart.
Here's a picture of what i ordered. Theres more on the way from your side of the planet from BNA.

Yeah, the .35 is good for 1/12. The connectors might be a bit tricky typically you will see 4,6 and 8 pin connectors
But the engine bay is fairly clean mostly HT leads and hydronic lines.

Your right, the engine bay is quite clear. Theres a complex loom in the front under the luggage compartment that i'd like to replicate but it's really tight for space and the 'compartment' in the kit is'nt great for scale size. I'll try and find an image.
