You've got to have ambition when it comes to the size of the kit versus any potential reaction of one's significant other. Being a single fella I can only sympathise with you guys but we must live by this mantra

I would guess my significant other is my wallet, she tends to run away whenever I see a new kit video or think about driving up to my local model shop. It actually happened this morning, my wallet was last seen disappearing across the field after I watched a new video on Andy's Hobby HQ on YouTube

Mine starts throwing the "D" word about if I spend too long looking at on-line shops -and if we ever go somewhere there is a real shop my wallet gets confiscated...
Had the last laugh over Xmas though. I found a place selling real, certified airworthy, MiL Mi-24's off @ $200,000 each so I left the PC with two browser windows stacked. Top one was for one of these hinds with the price tag on show, the other was a google screen with the search term "Where and how can I borrow $250,000 from".
Then sat back with the dog and a mug of coffee to enjoy the fireworks!!!

Watched the Hitler Dragon video last night. Very good stuff and spot on comments. I only buy Dragon at model shows where the prices don't give my wallet heart failure and you can have good look in the box to see if all the goodies are there.

Couple of years ago I picked up a Tiger II and Flak 88, both with all the goodies and only parted with £50 for the two of them. I don't even pay attention to their new releases any more. £69 for a 1/35 Panzer III? You must be frikkin joking.

Personally I think companies like Meng and Takom have blown Dragon out of the water, purely on price alone. Good quality and nice to build. Power to the consumer I say

I object to the armour guy being shown as a madman. I build armour because it silences the screaming in my head and makes people safer around me. Seems perfectly sane to me

Agreed...I only buy the second hand stuff as well. Actually haven't bought any dragon for quiet a while, they don't really have anything new worth buying a lot of variants or rehashes.

Many times the air has turned blue at my bench with the phrase 'Come on! Just fu****g get in there!'

The only time it doesn't happen is with Tamiya kits.
