I think i didn't show my modellingroom or mancave since i moved a year ago
And it is a whole lot different then the old corner of the room idea i had before

I like the “ill clean that up later” area...seem to have a few of those myself
Good modelling space for sure and very well stocked.
My favorite picture is the first one of the glass cloches....I was hoping to see some brains floating around in those

Looks great. It didn't take long to fill what I thought was a large space.
Do we have a tiger obsession ?

I bought them for some fanasy figures in larger scales but at the moment i am having more fun with building AFV's and planes so they don't get any use yet

where did you get that crazy idea?
My goal is to build each production type and the Befehls version but i have a couple of doubles (to give it a name)
And then some special versions
All in all i have about 18 to 20 Tigers i think but i find them a intresting subject even though i like the King Tiger more then the Tiger 1

A lot of cars but then again it isn't my stash and you got to build what you like (you're doing something wrong if you build stuff you don't like)

I have a four day long weekend coming up for Canadian Thanksgiving and my back is finally getting better....think it is time for my modelling space overhaul, clean up, refurbish and stash re-organize. You guys are inspiring me

Good to hear your mending

I can't find my modelling area. It is buried underneath a ton of building supplies. I clean off about a 10cm x 10cm area when I need to work. I realize that this is not the ideal working conditions, but I just can't seem to keep my bench clean. My favorite aspect of this style of bench is losing my tool as soon as I lay it down on the bench. I really adds a lot to modelling, mostly cursing.

The idea of doing something with a Stabokran crossed my mind but all my tigers are exterior models only
None has a interior so it would kind of beat the purpose of the crane
But i'm not planning any diorama's with them either

You are getting close but no
I haven't bought that many kits this year but most that i bought where big kits like the HK Model B-25J strafer ,M1070 and M911 tractor trailer combinations and the Meng D9R and M1A2
Those are some pretty big boxes and i am running out of room for the stash
And those are the ones that are still in the stash
I also made the 1/72 U-190 ,1/32 HE-111 and the 1/48 B-1B
So after the M911 that i actually started this week i want to make some smaller and easier or atleast less elaborate builds
There is a big modelling show in a couple of weeks but i only intent to buy some small stuff like several upgrade parts buf no kits
I am trying to keep the budget in check aswell these days

Hiya Guys n Gals,
Well its been a long and difficult slog but I am finally on the home stretch in order to have my new modelling area / Man Cave.. Well in truth I now have them just need to get everything sorted.

We moved on the 4th October and have had lots n lots to do all over the house so my Man Caves have taken a back seat for a couple of weeks, but his week I have finally managed to get all the other boxes out of my office / modelling room and am in the process of sorting boxes & tools etc... in Man Cave 2...

Still a long way to go but thought I would share a few pics of progress so far....

Man Cave 2 Kitchenette... I now have my own sink and area that will be used for Home Brew beer & Wine and washing up brushes etc without upsetting the Wife

Well there is lots and lots still to do and to unpack..... Seem to have lost a couple of boxes along the way in the mix, but I am sure they will turn up lol....

Next phase is to get a new DX Racer chair ordered and get pictures up etc...

I have a nice new garden shed too..... 6M x 3M which is split into 2 sections, 1 4M which is insulated and had laminate floor and the other 2M section is for garden stuff Tools etc... So extra storage space is not an issue..

Funny I have the same wall clock in my workshop, inherited after my mom died....I fire it up when I think of her to hear the chimes as it reminds me of calling home when I was in university and hearing the clock in the back ground

T terrific space you have there, funny saw the first pic and thought I like that door and the rest was just as good too. Even the shed has that split log cladding ...something different with lots of space.

Had a tidy and reorganise of the bench. hope to get some more wall art soon as eduard have lots of se.5 prints now soot to grab some.

Since my daughter was born and I was relegated to the garage to make way for her bedroom, I've been slowly putting together a nice comfortable modelling area. Today I more or less completed it with some nice LED lighting, and gave it a good tidy up. I'll soon have to get some additional shelves for the cabinet!

Awesome space you carved out, I did exactly the same upon my return to modelling.
Before you know, you will turn around and your daughter will be off to college....then you can take back the space

Thanks, I'm really proud of what I've managed to do with a dusty, spidery garage. It's actually given me the opportunity to properly organise my bits and pieces, which is satisfying.

I could probably do with redecorating the man cave at some point, and repaint the walls white rather than cream for a bit more light.

Looks good, I notice you have 2 IKEA Alex Drawer units, I have the same and really pleased with em for £55 each... Solid and loads of dust free storage

I like to have clear decks so drawer storage is ideal...

Being a newbie to the forum thought I`d join in , now I know how to upload pictures after joining flickr , its not a big area if I could improve anything it would be the lighting at night , but everything to hand and its MINE and my wife and kids know its Dads space, and yes its always kept spotless and cleaned up after every session , I don`t model as much I would like but Friday nights with a few beers a little bench time with the ISM boys doing their live show on the tv behind me I`m like a pig in you know what.

Cleanest neatest work bench ever.

Well, it's my modelling room. Updated my display cases. All of them are Google Home enabled with my Google Assistant. So, I just walk in and say, "Hey Google, turn the man cave on." Then all the lights and display cases come on. When I leave, "Hey Google, turn the Man Cave off." And she turns it all off. I love it.

I really want to get another one of the White cases. And at least another strand of LED's to light the one I have already. Protip: I used a cheap LED roll of lights and control it with a TP-Link Smart Plug. Much, much, much cheaper than buying the HUE string of lights. However, all the other lights in the room are HUE Color lights.







Also finally got my two bayonets from my parents over the holidays. One is a K31 Bayonet. Really nice, well made. Fun to throw on my K31 from time to time. Other is a M1 Garand 16 inch bayonet. Which is in unissued condition and dated 1942 from Oneida Limited and the scabbard is marked USN Mk1. My best friend got it for my birthday right after I joined the Navy. Super nice, he said he spent $300 on it. Looking around the internet, I have no idea how much this would go for. I've seen some suggestions of $450+.

Lucky for him, I got him a K31 for his birthday the following year.
