I reckon the closet needs a shelf redesign. It would make a heap more space so you could neaten it up more easily.

Yes!
I am thinking of some shelf boards across the back
I didn’t expect to have quite so many kits
Perhaps not buying so many and slimming down the stash might be a wise option as well
The other elephant in the room is the display of finished models. I need more shelving for that mess too

Yep that's what I was thinking and I also am needing some more space for displays and that project is slowly underway.....way slow :)

I am battling an all time low of modelling…like the sell it all and F it all kinda low
Can’t seem to get going new on or finishing old projects and not as much interest
“The problem isn’t the problem; your attitude about the problem is the problem”

Reminds me of the saying, There is no you and the problem; there is only you, which is the problem.

You have a nice looking selection of F1 machines. Surely a long slow deliberate build of one of those beauties will do something for your mojo. Good luck, whatever direction you choose to go in.

Well this is the current setup for now, I regret daily selling my entire setup back when I went through some hard times but I'll slowly build it back to what it once was. Definitely need more tools and paints stat

You won't need a lot of paint for those little guys so all's good and take your time to buy the good tools.
Your bench has potential it could be anything the sky's the limit.
Thanks for sharing.

It looks perfect! You can create more space just by moving the books to a bookshelf and buying a cheap set of plastic filing drawers to go under the table. Buy the tools and paints as you need them.

Been a while since I posted in this thread.
Rest assured apart from a couple of extra shelves it hasn't changed much even with this year being my most productive I haven't caught up....

Wow very nice bench , love those 2 colour organisers.
Can't help but notice the stash bias towards Trumpeter kits.
Was that because the local hobby shop if you had one mainly stocked that brand ?
I hope that move was relatively mishap free.

It's been a very, very long time since I posted a photo of my modeling domain. I say domain because my modeling space takes up about 3/4 of a full basement of our ranch home (about 950 sq. ft. for my space). Well, here goes....

I guess I need to update more photos of the displays as they've improved. As for stash photos, I'll save them for another time.

One of my next big projects will be changing some of the display space around and adding more enclosed shelving.

Wonderful space. I always wanted a basement and to have my modelling area housed in it.
IF I did have one the missus would be pushing me to get the walls painted and finished off........ I don't really laugh when she suggests such things. Only yesterday she wanted to organise my wood work area. I know the way she works her organising means chucking out a lot of stuff....useful stuff like timber, sand paper, paint and tools....offer was firmly refused thanks but NO.

Yes. It's the basement. Lots of room to hand the 1/32 models I'm getting into. The modern equivalent of a cave. A man cave. 1550 sq. ft. Mine! All Mine! Don't tell my Mrs.

Well, after a few years of being unable to model due to life forfeiting me of area/ space to do it in, I have finally gained a new area to start my hobby again.

Most of my supplies and tools have been either lost, stolen, or gone bad so not starting out again with very much.

But I will make it work! The new work desk is an old closet door with boxes of hand sanitizer as legs

Ready to get back into it and get stuck in. :pistols:

That's a very nice looking corner and I love the light too. I have something similar and its an absolute deal breaker as far as working inside goes.
