Bit more Sunday progress.
Windows tinted, side mirrors on, doors mounted.
I cut the side windows off so they are open and the interior more visible. Happy with getting front and rear...dark but not stupid

Hmm What else is left....
The rear clip, radiators and exhaust and then body mounting
I am getting sick of it so I need to back off for a bit maybe so I don’t just slam the last parts in :bash:

Big hurdle today
I got the aluminum exhaust tips cemented in their delta pattern and the rear clip cemented on...the latter is an absolute B

Image

Image

It certainly is not a perfect fit but best I could get with some brass pins and tubes
I might be able to do a little bending and try and get the angles perfect...or destroy it

Coco's best directing yet!

The model is amazing! You'll have to package it up and mail it to each of us so that we can see it in person.

Funny I was thinking that...you just cannot capture the paint in photos to what you see with the eye
It look different from angles; different light; almost black in spots; silver in others and deep blue too
I am like oh crap too dark blue one area then too thin blue another...turn the car and it all changes :wtf:

It is not perfect though and there are goobers and snafus in the build. Far from a perfect 100, A+++++
But that is ok, all a process

I can only imagine how hard it was to spray the clear blue evenly! It's still an amazing model!

Scott, what can i say. Absolutely gorguess all that detail and that paint job ! How did you manage to get the clear blue so even ?
I tried it on a bike fairing but it didnt turn out too well, it was almost impossible to get a uniform shade.
Top notch as usuall 👍
Money is'nt everything but it sure keep's the kid's in touch.

Hey man, great to hear from you :D
A couple of coating and the blue evens out, just gotta be very light with it or you get runs

The build was not well liked on the live show mind you  hmm
Anyways, Thanks :cheers2:
