I want to finish my Kfir. Also, picked up a Panzer 4 I'm excited to get started. Had quite a few beers at the honky tonk last night. So, today has been progressing slowly. Plus I need to celebrate America at some point. The government was nice enough to give me a day off. I shall commemorate this event with explosives.

Well, managed a bit of work on the Mustang, she's nearing done now. However today is a holiday here in the Colonies, and we've stuff to go explode in the name of celebrating.

I tried to frame this in the eyes of our host's nation:

Yes, I know, St. George's Cross would be more appropriate than the Union Jack, but I'm in a hurry. Happy 4th, fellow Yanks!

Nothing accomplished at all, this weekend. Party and AW (in that order!) on Friday, an even more decadent and immoral party on Saturday which still caused hormonial shakes during the entire Sunday, despite the total absence of both beer and suspicious drugs, efficiently preventing any form of handcraft.

I'm going off to my relatives in the northern (i.e. ice-cold) parts of Sweden on Wednesday morning, so there won't be any bench time for another ~2 weeks. But my Mosquito won't fly away while I'm gone.

I'm gonna slap some matte coat on the Mustang, get those wheels on, and unwrap that canopy. If I have time, I'd like to get my sub assembly done on the sci-fi build and *gasp* get some work in on the GTi.

I need to figure out what to buy for the Sci-Fi SIG, I'm thinking Bandai's Y Wing or their new A Wing. No sign of Dragon's Star Wars offerings yet - which is a shame.

I also have a stash / new project quandary. First time in my life that I've got a stash, got some beautiful aircraft and armour kits but I cant kick on and choose which one to do next. Finished my FW 190 2 weeks ago, went on holiday and now I'm all in a dither. Its going to be armour but I've got 2 Tiger 1s (one of which is the best Tiger kit ever, according to Coen), Tamiya's Nashorn and Jagdpanzer 4 70(V)Lang and Italeri's new Fury Sherman. Can I pick one? Can I boll***s!

Tomorrow is kit day. Sunday is lunch out with family / Wimbledon / Grand Prix and the football. Re the football, come on France! - and I do not say that very often!

Hoping to get the rest of the decals done on the 190 and get it at least gloss coated again. Lysander is on it's way and Creative have some good deals on the Eduard LTD F4's this week and I am so tempted, although I have the Academy 'Sundowners' in the stash and F4's take up quite a bit of space. Decisions. Red Arrows have just flown past in a salute to ISM, thanks guys. (They are based a couple of miles up the road from me...

).

Short rainy weekend for me, lots of inside workers at the house Saturday so only cleanup duty Sunday
Hoping to get to hobby shop today and find a 747 and some figures for the Sci-fI build as well as get the FSM magazine
Need a new pair of sprue cutters as my Xurons have a broken down spring assembly. Maybe some Tamiyas this time
I took the Bugatti off the desk and brought out the F40; did some engine details and played with the seat belt assemblies

Having more fun with hair spray on my Zero this afternoon. Off down south this evening then back for God daughter's birthday tomorrow.

Of course there is the Euro final tomorrow too.

Never mind, I have 4 days of teaching left to do next week then, apart from some gigs, I'm off work until early September.

Hard life but been a manic last month with students in for music exams, final recitals for junior conservatoire kids, school shows, school concerts, music centre concerts plus a gig or two of my own. Might sleep all day next Friday.

Get caught up with real work. That shouldn't take too terribly long. Then kick off this Panzer 4 I bought. Looks like a fun kit. I think I'll try a mixed medium build this time. Anyone know where to buy metal tank barrels in the USA? 1/35 for this guy.

I am kind of getting the modelling mojo back with a couple new sigs and a Bugatti up on the shelf.
Worked on my Ferrari F40 for the first time in months.
Have those constructive juices flowing at the moment for that Sci fi sig diorama

Well, I finally got the Mustang done and off the bench, hopefully I can update the thread tonight. Got my first gloss coat on the GTi and maybe I can get a second one on during the week before I try to shine it up some. Then maybe I can finish the painting for all its other bits and get them on before the deadline.

Also got started on my sci-fi build, so that's nice.

Didn't have a lot of bench time at the weekend, managed to finish the M110 yesterday and made a start on the academy spitfire . And made a start on a Airfix spitfire for a mate who wants me to build it for him .

Today, Wednesday, is my Friday. I have a short 6 day holiday from work amazingly enough. 10 patients to go!
No big travel plans or anything and of course some home build stuff to do
My modelling plans include working on the 747 Air Canada plane and get a start on the Sci-Fi Diorama as well
The Bugatti, well she is parked on a window sill for a while

Same here. Got a few little goodies due in the post for my Academy Tiger build. Also, the British Open golf and the England / Pakistan test Match are on. Bench time slim to none me thinks.

It's not rained for about three days here, the sun is shining, can summer actually be upon us? Got an hour's work this afternoon then the weekend starteth. Got a bit of mojo going on my Hellcat build, cracking on with it. Painted the donk this morning before work and will get some seatbelts made up for the pit tonight. Will mow the lawns first though when I get back in, green bin day tomorrow. Having thoughts of a barbie some time this weekend, maybe tomorrow.

Someone asked me today what it was like only working three days a week, I said I spend most of my time planning what I'm going to do with my four days off...

Man, you all are making me jealous! I'm currently back at uni for a Masters in Teaching while also working for the PoliSci dept so I'm stupidly busy all summer (summer term...boo), and this next week is A-term finals so my weekend is screwed. Although, in five weeks I'll get 5 weeks off...

Back again from the easternmost sand-beach of Västerbotten. My Mosquito is just as I left her on the bench, but the local mosquitos bit the h*** out of me. However, my dad had dug out an old airbrush from his garage which now has found a new home close to my bench.

30 years ago, the silence of the cottage by the sea would occasionally be broken by Viggen airplanes from the F21 air force base passing by, but after the end of the cold war, no military plane has been sighted. Ever. Until last week, when two JAS Gripen flew by at low altitude, together with an unidentified military helicopter, invoking memories of the past. Thanks, Swedish air force!

Ahh only two more days 'holiday' left!

They will be packed with house business, office work and eye appointments
I burned through the X Wing project, maybe a bit too fast, and have dug pretty far into Air Canada 747
Hope to sneak some more nights work on BMF for the plane

My son's team won a U16 West Coast ball hockey tournament today...so that ate a ton of time up over the last four days
