Well, my previous statement of "new paint will be acquired within the week", proved to be false. Oh well, I've received a new Tamiya spray can that'll put the old one to shame!!!

So as you can probably tell I painted the entire BASE COAT green. Still need to paint the 3-tone NATO scheme :wall:. Until then I'm happy with my olive green AAV-7.

A nice rear end.

On a side note, all other sub-assemblies for the AAV-7 are also painted (not including stowage). Glad to get my hands on this kit again after the hiatus.

On another side note, the interior is not painted, I made another thread where I asked you fine gentlemen what color was a good choice. In reply some fine gentlemen said Tamiya duck green.

Every time I look at this thing I keep thinking that a Jawa would look nice standing next to it.
It's such and odd looking beast.
Dangerous looking though.
I can't wait until to see what she'll look like when she's done.

I have finished one track of the AAV-7. It's painted and just needs to be weathered; waiting to weather it for what theatre I'll be putting it into.

I wouldn't glue these independent links, that's what happened to the first track I made, thing snapped in half quicker than a toothpick on a rhino when some pressure was applied in the wrong direction.

Life's been tough for the past few weeks, pictures will be up soon. So none of that "this thread is worthless without pics" smilie

Just got my hands back on modelling after a while. Aside from my M1151 having a piece break off, the only other thing that I've done is to complete a track for the AAV-7.

These are from the AFV Club tracks. They're applicable to many different kits. I'll refer your attention to Norm who made a terrific video on the tracks.

So progress has slowed down incredibly. Life got in the way, and I've been told it won't be out of the way for some time. So far this is my progress. I just painted the rucksacks and the sleeping mats. Oh and remember those ropes that I made the terrible tutorial for? Well I just painted them.

Life always gets in the way Dude. I've been plagued by life lately.
That stowage looks like it's all going to paint up nicely when you can get to it haha.
I don't remember you doing a bad how to about ropes. I remember a really helpful one though. :D
