Did You check it? I bought a bunch.
In one kit the parts were flashy and poorly moulded, the rest crisp and fine.
In one the clear parts were not in good shape, rest good.
In one I got two sprues of the same and no fuse sprue...(now spares for the others)

In one the clear parts were not in good shape, rest good.
I have an LA5 in the stash and the clear parts on that are strange. I thought they had some kind of removable coating on they were that dull and spent ages trying to pick off a non existent film with my nails. I finished up polishing them up with a cloth and dipping them in Quick Shine which sorted them. They were also made of some very soft and bendy plastic. Haven't built it yet but the mouldings look excellent.

Which of the La5 is that? I have the n version.

The clear parts in the 109 kits are ok transparency wise.
However, the same You describe are the ones in the SU-27sm...
Btw that kit has now been re-released by Revell with Cartograf decals and with clear parts that looks much nicer...bummer!
(Maybe get the Revell also and pick the best out of both...
)

Stunning work Patrick
I was browsing thorugh the forums in hope of finding a cheap kit that would look really good with some lovin' and care, and you inspired me to get this kit from Zvezda. Now i will have something to build for my new desk at work

Just found your build thread. Great stuff, not only on your excellently finished 109, but also your detailed write up and information. My own E3 is underway and you've provided some great tips and inspiration

TLC is needed but if given its a really nice kit!
