The deadline approaches so I'm pushing on to get this done.

I had a go at an oil dot filter.



The result not quite what I was looking for.



I'll try again another time.

The kit exhausts (in fact, both kit's exhausts) are a bit of a let down so I had these at hand.



I know they are meant for a Spitfire but they look to match the Italeri box art and my reference photos. It's very possible that they are a renovation addition but I added them all the same and they look fine to me.





Added the arrester hook and painted it hull red along with the catapult spools further forward.




Undercarriage was a bit fiddly and half an hour of faffing about, dropping pieces and swearing got me to here.





Wingtip lights drilled out, spot of paint added and fixed.





Undercarriage covers added.





And the tail wheel (still to be weathered).



Nearly there now.



Still a few little jobs to do but hope to get this revealed and done today. The kit is great and all inaccuracies, fumbled building and scruffy paintwork is all my own work.
