Hope to start a kit tomorrow once the place is in order. (251 or a Puma)

New (to me) car yesterday so I want to get a proper drive in it to make sure all is as it should be.

Got snow here this morning! Roads aren't too bad though.

Can't beat the good old English weather, it was 17C and sunshine here on Thursday, it's 2C at the moment.

Just back from watching my boy play football. Heavy frost on car and bloody cold standing about for an hour!

First weekend goal achieved, get Dad out from under Mum's feet and get him drunk, check. Next goal is to get the Stug to a stage where its ready to be primed. Also really must do some study towards the CCNA I decided to do because I wasn't busy enough already

Then if I get time after all the chores I might even crack open a fresh kit to make a start on

My weekend goal isn't so much plastic m model related, but still related a bit. Hopefully I'll get an AN/VIC-3(V) intercom set 3D model finished that I'm almost done with. Then I have a set of stowage box handles to start and complete. Oh yeah, all while having a load of homework to do...

Well, part one went OK - the little sprog had a great time but my enjoyment was slightly spoiled by work getting in the way of life again. Cue mad dash back up the A1 to sort out server problems. Got everyone working again but I'm now running way behind my loose schedule and as it isn't raining in the PRNY (Peoples Republic of North Yorkshire) it looks like I'm going to have to prioritise the tree stumps - grrrrr

Sunday update, Stug is Primed so result! Sunday evening will be devoted to Study maybe with a few beers too

wasted half a sunday playing bf4.....on the plus side I went up 2 levels. Only 500,000pts left to get to 140 level. I'll be a general then...hahaha

Another w/e gone and I did basically zero modelling. Oh I sat there for a few minutes fiddling around, but nothing accomplished
Most energy was at house staining hemlock boards for the soffits...about 56 done. Two more sawhorses made and couple hundred holes drilled and screws placed into plywood subfloor. I am wiped out

Parly sucess; I've completely painted the stunt double, and glued the fuselage and wings, so now It's ready for some touch-up and gluing the details. I haven't started priming the Defiant at all, but hey; I succeeded in watching two hockey finals instead!

Skellefteå AIK lost the first, but won the second big-time, so now it's 1-1 in best of 7 games! Hopefully, that'll be enough to snatch the 3rd gold medal in 4 years, all 4 of which they won the series as well! 10 years ago (almost to the day), they weren't even playning in SHL, and now the've played the finals for 6 consequtive years, so that's quite an advancement, especially for a team that has been built from the ground up with local talents!

Seriously. One of the things I always appreciated about Brit TV was the idea that a season (or series) can be 3-10 episodes with a beginning, middle, and end. For so long US TV just churned out 25 episodes every year as long as it would turn a profit, which meant nothing could ever really happen to the characters since they would have to return year after year after year....

Early shows like Deadwood, Sopranos, BSG, showed us a better way, and then along comes Breaking Bad and proves that the shorter arcs are better...

A small bucket list item accomplished, saw a Beatle perform.....he was a amazing, 3 hrs solid!!

This weekend starts soon

Sir Paul was taken off my bucket list back in 2009. This year I'm going to see him again performing at a festival this time. The Pink Pop Festival is only a 20 min car ride away from where I life and managed to get me some free backstage passes

But back to the topic at hand: I'm going away for a short trip for some R&R and managed to sneak in some Verlinden and CMK figures in the bag with the required painting supplies without the better half seeing it. So with a bit of luck I will have those little guy's done and dusted by next weekend..

I hear and feel for ya Bro, don't you just "love" aka hate a woman's prerogative to "change" Her mind . I had the same thing with my "Ex Mrs Design" by the time I had the kitchen fronts finished I had made fronts for almost any style she had seen her Modern Living Hipster Magazine... Do what I did Oké, Yes Dearest your wish will be taken in consideration and just build it with what you have Or If you actually like the change go for it and install them before she wind shifts or the moon changes its orbit, because she just might have another "change of mind"

My girl and I are pretty much on the same wavelength wrt style and stuff.
Plus I know when to compromise and let her have her way if it doesn't mean jackshite to me.
The big problem is companies having samples of stuff that is short supply, out of stock or out of production.
Doors, pendant lights, wood floors, tiles...on an on. We make a decsion and then a few weeks later they cannot get it.

Lucky for me on this side of the Atlantic and living so close to Germany only 3,5 from my front door. If the local big Home Depot doesn't have it I just cross the border and get an almost identical model from its competitor across the border..

Well, I am entering this weekend already behind on work, but I only have gloss coats, decals, and some extra bits to go on my eggs so I'm setting that as my goal.

After I finish my pages. And then fix my door knob (thing came off in my hand leaving the house this morning...awesome). And then take the kiddos to the zoo or something. And then somehow clean the house. And then there's the baseboard under the sink to mend. And then...

Having a camera up the bum today as you do, nothing untoward, it's a genetic check as bum cancer runs in the family. Deep joy. (Or a pain in the a***... ) I'll be doing some weeding in the front garden as its getting to be weed city and I'll get a bit done on my NMF. I'll also find an excuse to go on the train somewhere being as I got my senior railcard last month. Haven't used the train for years and I'm loving it. It's actually cheaper to go to my local station and get the train into town than it is to drive in and pay for parking.

I had the same done last year, but also had an Endoscopy at the same time as a Colonoscopy. Nothing quite like being spit roast by Endoscopes
I took the easy option and requested the roofie

My weekend, I'm off to see Jeff Lynn's ELO tonight at the O2. Hopefully I will get at least some of the paintwork done on the Stug this weekend.

Never had an endoscope, had the bum camera before, it's not a big deal but I've heard endoscopy can be a bit uncomfortable.

She is an oboist. Posh end of woodwind section. What she's doing with a bass trombone player beats me but not complaining.

I am working on two builds currently a Tamiya 1/48 F4U Corsair and a 1/72 Battlestar Gallactica Colonial Viper.
As I said before I hope to finish the Corsair this weekend decals and all if things work out. I do not expect to get the Viper done where I just started it. Well good luck everyone I hope to hear about your success.

This is a no goal Sunday, but I'll get something done. Realistically though no modeling just chores and some cave modifications.

After a long break I'm eager to get back to the bench, and what a way with entering my first GB (Pacific, I know it's next week it starts) my goals this week are to re stock paints and research decal options and aftermarket... Or be lazy and keep it simple and oob.. In the mean time I'm gonna take on 1 or 2 items on the shelf of doom!

Shelf of doom? I have visions of a grave yard of half cobbled together airplane models that have been dropped on the floor and stepped on one too many times to repair.
I hope that isn't the case.

Well I managed to get the undercarriage sprayed aluminium this afternoon on my NMF sig. Got the mob coming round for sunday dinner later so don't think I'll get much more done. Went into town yesterday with the missus ostensibly just to get one or two bits. Finished up going in a pub and coming out very much later. I remember watching Match of the Day last night but little else.

My weekend accomplishments were getting back into the hobby and it was a great success.

Yie-haaa! Weekend came and passed! Not only did I add some details, I actually completed the kit fully! Now it's on the shelves, and I've even unwrapped and primed the next one; Yakolev Yak-9D. Same purpose; practice brush-painting of large areas.

Unfortunately, Skellefteå AIK didn't win the gold-medal in SHL this year. But next ... On the other hand, earlier today, I went to the Swedbank Stadion and watched Malmö FF beat Djurgården in football. (I.e. soccer for you guys across the pond).

Well looks like I am close but not going to get it done this weekend. Started the decals but haven't finished them yet.

Oh well I will try to complete during the week if I can.
Darn life getting in the way of my hobbies.
Oh well at least it looks decent.

I have one more day of weekend, but Monday involves taking kids to appointments and doing paperwork etc at the office.
For the Bugatti I made the hand oil pump out of brass and a manual choke handle out of aluminum. So,got so me interior details done.
I will update my house stuff in its thread

Well, a zoo was visited, a doorknob was fixed, and *some* cleaning was done. I did get a couple hours to sit down and spray my egg planes, but not long after starting my airbrush was just spitting and drooling, leaving a nice, milky slime instead of a dry coat of paint. Turns out the last time I cleaned it I must not have tightened up the spring housing and the needle was just, you know, hanging out as it pleased. So yay. Time lost to a strip down and clean, but I'm glad it was me being a dope two weeks ago and not a cracked seal. No gloss coat, but I'm hoping to squeeze that in Tuesday night somehow so I can decal like a madman before this weekend and the deadline
