As Haloween is but a day away, I got stuck in to finishing off this Su100

I had a matt varnish disaster where it went all white and powdery. After much scrubbing, it's back to something reasonable but is shiny, but I dare not try the matt varnish on it again, so like this it will have to stay

Indeed awsome. There is a real feeling of weight in those pictures - the finish you have given model makes it look like a true beast made of metal. Great job :th:

That was really amazing finish!
Even with disastrous varnishing - that came along really top class.

Good work, buddy.

Cheers,
Radek

Beautiful work Pete!!!
I love that camo work buddy.. that looks fabulous :th: :th: :th: :th: :th:
What did you use for the varnish?
Nigel Wells just had a horrible incident with some humbrol. Apparently there maybe something wrong with the line of varnishes.

Thanks Coen.
I used Vajello Matt Varnish over a previously dried coat of Tamiya Clear. Then it all went pale and frosty looking.
I wonder if it's because one is alcohol based and the other water based? I suppose should have tried it on a test piece first  - that's the lesson for the day.
