Just a very quick update
The parts have arrived from eduard and they are the has i already have

So what i intend to do next is see if i can work with these parts other wise i will use the kit plastic parts the only trouble with that the original hobby boss instructions for this kit show the exhausts being fitted before the fuselage halves go together and my halves are already together

I guess they must be correct then. I think you should cut them apart like you said before. They probably cast them all in one piece because it made most sense from a manufacturing point of view.

Part 8
As i have said the replacement parts from eduard are the same as i already have and if i use the kit parts i will have to shorten them so they fit as the kit parts should be added before the 2 halves go together.

So firstly try to make the resin parts look good while looking over the parts trying to see the best place to cut there was movement and pop the piece with the blades on just slid out so they were the correct pieces after all 1 piece was just slotted into the other so they just slide out then you rotate them and there you go 2 exhausts as seen in the instructions so no extra cutting

when these are set they will be primed.
The exhaust covers are cleaned up ready for fitting and the stabilizers

The exhausts have been primed in Ultimate glossy black primer

and once dry painted up in mr metal color iron and awaiting being buffed up

The exhaust covers are glued on and the stabilizers are just push fit in place

The exhaust parts are now polished up for this i used some cotton buds except for where the PE was i used a small stiff paint brush

I have masked up the canopy with the supplied mask set and to me something didn't look right there seams to be too much exposed glass to be painted so i filled the rest with some Tamiya masking tape.

Just a little filling and sanding then it will be time for primer and paint finally the finish line is in sight

Here we are Part 9
I have done the masking of the wheel wells ready for priming in Ultimate black primer

The front of the nose cone has been painted with mr hobby H-318 Radome the main body color is mr hobby H-325 gray FS26440
I have already used 1 pot of paint to get this far and i have 1 more pot i hope this will be enough

Once this is all cured it will be clear coated with a 50-50 mix of tamiya x-22 and mrcolor leveling/thinner in preperation for the decals

That's where it stands now

Part 10 the final part

Right time to put on the decals there are quite a few of these so it may take some time. I have noticed while doing these that there are some parts in the illustrations used for the placement of the decals differ from the actual parts. however they did go down well.

The resin wheels are all finished they were painted up with Ultimate white primer and akah tire black these have now been added along with the fuel tanks and missiles. I forgot to mention this was all given a flat coat using Tamiya XF-86 flat clear.
