Nice work getting the tub out without any serious breakages - that's always a challenge.
Loving the extra details you're putting back into this - have you decided on which little horsey to use yet?

I am hoping I am making this thing look better than it did before I started
All I see are all seams, joints and glue spots
Before:
Now:

maybe after I get the dash and steering wheel detailed I will feel better about this

Cheers you two
@KalebB @Kevthemodeller
My wife walked into the Nerd Lab (which she never does) and says “did you put that leather on those seats?”
And then “it looks pretty good”
After I aroused from my faint onto the floor I thanked her

Ya indeed
I was poking around my big kits stored at the office and got a bit inspired
Found a couple FB sites as well one devoted to restoring the old kits
Not that I don't have four other stalled builds to finish

Strewth I hadn't realised that you started this one two years ago!
The cabin looks great with some very comfy chairs (insert appropriate meme)
Nice work mate - looking forward to it moving forwards again.

Got the central console gauges finished.
I made mine with aluminum bezels having slight tilt toward the driver...reminiscent to the cool old Ferrari GTO’s
Then test fit into the body
Examiner evaluates my work

Very nice. What did you use for the seat fabric?
It is a goat leather designated ‘glove leather’ as it is soft and flexible/ stretchy
Was the thinnest my guys had at their store with the smoothest grain.
I actually cemented the finished side as the look was too shiny and the grain pattern out of scale
So this is the inside ‘flesh’ side we see here. Not as smooth but looks better

Thanks
Always room for improvement, but not too shabby
Was first time doing more than just a bench seat or some floor mats

How big is a 1/8 automobile kit???
That is a 1/32 Spitfire on the roof it is 11 inches long (28cm)
My mat is 54 cm and the body overlaps that. About 22 inches long
This is how I plan to display them... in the cubby shelves made around these cabinets.

The F40 is there now and I have room on top for three more and one in the center.

Got a drilled aluminum foot pedal set in the mail from eBay
The ‘kit’ and the super detailed blurry photo that comes with it

Note three short brass bolts, no nuts, no washers no longer bolt as in images.
“All brass hardware included” was in the eBay description
I soldered the accelerator pedal together and used my own brass hardware that I made from tube stock and threaded. Luckily I found a longer brass bolt and nut that fit as well...but I should not have had to
Installed
Vs the kit pedals

This is the second time the same seller has disappointed...didn’t include appropriate brass hardware as advertised and told me to go pound sand. F him I made my own hardware, but buying a kit you expect it to be easier. Jerk!

Wow! This looks incredible! Those seats look so real.
I have a Revell 1/12 Testarossa in the stash - I will definitely be looking at this thread when I start it, Scott.
