Rocks look excellent

and a clear top layer will hopefully give the water a sense of depth with a murky sediment.

It looks great and a clear coat should finish it off perfectly. I agree with Digger. A branch would look good. Maybe even some foil fish? I can't answer any of your questions about the resin unfortunately.

Nice progress - I really like the look of the pool & the shelf, I think the pool is showing plenty of depth

I thought so too! Goblin skin is so hard to get now that I had to improvise.
