Ya bit of a ghost town around and will get worse with ChristmasDBMiller wrote: Mon Dec 15, 2025 4:03 pm I'd like to boost this thread a bit to see if there is still interest. I'll have to find another kit - finished the Avenger for the Birthday Bash.DBMiller wrote: Mon Dec 15, 2025 4:03 pm I'd like to boost this thread a bit to see if there is still interest. I'm in your camp, life is too short to mess with horrible old ill fitting kits and the stash is never going to get built if I don't impose some restrictions upon myself.Stokesy44 wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 8:22 amRangerNeil wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 10:56 amSomebody needs to spend a year buildjing nothing but Amodel kits.....![]()

TBH I love Tamiya. It suits my MO. Call me lazy but I like new tool kits from manufacturers who know how to engineer a kit for the builder. Their 1/32 Corsair and Mustang are absolute miracles of engineering. The inner wing section of the Corsair is possibly the most beautifully designed sub-assembly I have ever seen.
True. I need to have a purge too.digger303 wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 9:18 amI'm in your camp, life is too short to mess with horrible old ill fitting kits and the stash is never going to get built if I don't impose some restrictions upon myself.Stokesy44 wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 8:22 amRangerNeil wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 10:56 am

However - if we go for a Tamiya theme I just got hold of their 1/48 IL-2!!
I haven’t even looked for something yet, but yes finding a Tamiya in the stash is easy
Same here!Twokidsnosleep wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 6:25 pmI haven’t even looked for something yet, but yes finding a Tamiya in the stash is easy

Are we going to tell Tamiya its running??
Might be a nice idea - just as a mark of respect for the man.Twokidsnosleep wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 1:21 amHadn’t thought of thatRangerNeil wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 1:09 amSame here!Twokidsnosleep wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 6:25 pm
