I missed your post of your finished build Paul and only just saw it tonight. Looks fantastic mate you did a great job on it. I love the Phantom, remember seeing them flying at the Leuchars Air Show when I was a kid. I have a couple of 1/72 Phantoms in my stash. Your build has inspired me to get one out and build it. Think that might be my next project.

Being relatively new to the forum I had not seen this thread before. Wonderful job Paul, the finish and weathering are superb.

Nice build. The f-4 is one of my favorite aircraft along with the f-100 and the ae-1. All three would fly close air support for me when I was in Vietnam, just depened on which one could get there fastest (the f-4 were air force not navy, too far inland for the navy)

It was amazing and awesome, epecially naplam in the evening. The A-1's were actually my favorite as they were slow and could drop closer, followed by the f-100' then the F-4's. Actually had A-1's drop as close a 50 meters, face would allmost get burned from the radiant heat.

Ah, those were the good old day, NOT :lol:
