Looking good, all primed up nicely!! :)

As for a 1/72 scale kit, you're most likely right.. :( Have just looked up 'your' kit on Hannants, and they have plenty in stock, but at £44.99 a pop, plus postage, it will have to remain on the wishlist for the conciderable future.. tempted as I am, it is not within my budget right now! :P

Messed up the spraying so washed it all off under the tap, so back to the furry stick and after 3 thin coats of paint here is the result

Image

Tyres and track to do next, but that will have to be tomorrow.

Tyres and track painted and awaiting pigments, also pin-washed and dry-brushed the beastie

Image

Image

The dry-brushing is picking up the casting texture nicely

Image

Spare track still to be fitted

Image

Exhaust still to be added

Image

Exhaust waiting to dry may take some time as I painted it in neat Artist's oils, when dry I will dust with pigments to dull the colour down.

Image

It will be left now to fully dry, about 3-4 days

Holy crow that's wonderful work so far Geoff, I love that exhaust and muffler. With the pigments and the oils it will look fantastic once it's dry.

Thanks Guys, after the way this paintwork has come out using a hairy stick it makes me wonder why I bothered to try spraying it with my airbrush.

Thank you so much Duck and Robert I really do appreciate your comments.

Before we moved to Devon I was in a model club and enjoy going to the monthly meetings where we all took our latests models and had a good chinwag, but sadly there isn't one in my area now and this forum, FaceBook and the Military Modelling mag forum makes me feel as if I am back in a modelling club again but one which is a hell of a lot bigger.

Shame you are the other side of the country, I will only do Yeovilton, Tank Museum, and a little craft and hobbies show I always do just outside Taunton, it one I have done for the last 5 years and I am the only plastic modeller there, it's so friendly and I would feel as if I was letting them all down by not exhibiting.
