So far I have had no problems with building of the gun or the trunnion, just a couple of seam lines needed cleaning up.

looks great Jan
i don't know if you had the same situation as i did but i found that those metal inserts are a bit hard to get in the outer tubes
i had to sand down the edges as they where blocking the inserts and prevented a smooth movement
but it is a real nice kit
good luck with the rest of your build

I had no problems with the inserts. Problem I had was I added a bit too much glue on one of the outer tubes, and it dried on the inside, so the inner tube will not go all the way to the end. So have to get a needle file out and start to do some light filing on the inside.

I hope so.
Did you have a problem with the figure that is seated? To me it seems that he doesn't sit right unless I take a chunck out of his left arm.

i don't know Jan
i haven't build the figures yet i just finished my gun a full day before this sig started
and i put the figures a way untill i start a diorama with.them
so ,sorry i can't help with that

Ok second update for this weekend. Apart from a couple of small things which will be done after the painting and weathering stage. I can say that the gun is finished (building stage that is)

I have already primed the figures using Vallejo Grey (From a spray can).

While waiting for this to dry I did a practice run on the color of the uniform as I don't want a pure white (Except for the helmets)
The color on the left is what I'm aiming for, the one on the right is pure white.

Nice updates Jan, that gun is looking sweet, I think the white variations were also a great idea, it'll make the whole scene more realistic and interesting!

Gave the gun another layer of paint using vallejo panzer grey, white and and a touch of blue.
You can just make out the difference in shades.

Then gave everything a layer of gloss ready to start the weathering process, (wish me luck, first time i will have done this type of work on a model)

Great work mate, so hard to not go over the top trying to get some colour into a one colour paint scheme but you have done very well. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks Alex, it was your thread that gave me the idea about adding some blue to the grey. Just had to be careful not to add too much.

Just a couple of photo's showing the progress. As I will be doing a winter scene I had some white to the gun carriages. I did add white the gun shield but got a bit carried away with the white, so have to do some repair work.
With the figures I added a very watered down of brown wash. I also did some work on the wicker baskets.

Thanks guys, but unfortunately I'm unable to finish this in time. Which is a pity, was really enjoying this build. Hope to finish it in the near future.
