Hello Folks

next short update on my build. Today I have some free time to work on my Betty. I start from bleaching the underside color using mix of XF-12 IJN Grey and Gunze Off White color. Then I start painting camouflage pattern on the top surfaces starting from Dark Green color. I used for this Tamiya XF-13 J.A Green. Next stage will be bleaching this green color and for this I have plan to use Tamiya XF-67 NATO Green. Here are some pictures of the progress fso far.

Next update

Today I spray XF-67 NATO Green to bleach the dark green color and then I spray Red Brown color on my Betty. The spray stage is now complete. I'm very happy with the results. Some small touch up is require but nothing major. In some places I have some bleed through of the paint that I need to tide up. Some pictures of the completed painting.

This is the biggest plane I've every build so far. I will have to figure out how to put this big monster in my display cabinet.

Hello Folks

Next short update on my build. I spray Jonson Klear yesterday and today I finished putting decals. There is not to much decals to put on so one day was enough to finished this stage. I used Micro Set and Sol to force decals to conform to the panel lines. I think I will have to repeat this process couple time to get satisfying results. I have problems only with one decals the white strip so I will have to spray this band. Some pictures after the decals.

Hello Folks

Short update before final reveal. I finished decals I have to put several coats of micro Sol to conform them into panel lines, then add some chipping using silver pencil and after that hole aircraft was brushed using Flory Models Grime wash. The white band on the fuselage painted using Off White paint from Gunze. Today I wipe off the excess and put together wings to the fuselage. So my G4M1 Betty is almost finished. I only need to add some oil and exhaust staining and some fading to the model and thats it. I add also the torpedo to the bomb bay. Right now I have to unmask canopies and glue them in place and it should be finished. Some pictures before final reveal.
