Need to stop my Romulan build but it is more fun that this one at the moment.

I'm enjoying watching your build so far, Jim. Have you managed to get much done between work and the sci-fi GB? And your band, of course. Oh and the 4th of July holiday? You're a busy man! I was in New York on Independence day a few years back and didn't know whether to risk going out in case they decided to burn the oppressive Englishman for extra entertainment!!!

lol.. I'm actually in 2 bands - used to be 3 but that's another story. I'm too busy watching Hans race past my build at the moment :lol;

Hi Jim,
I am not trying to make it a race.
I just can't stay away from it.
I am having so much fun with making it dirty at the moment.

Jim,
The build is progressing nicely.
Another way to handle that gun to turret gap is take some plastic shavings...place into gap. Then use liberal amount of liquid cement to soften them up. Use a tooth pick to flatten and shape into weld beads.
Second way is to make a slurry of testors or squadron putty with liquid cement ......use an old brush to whick the slurry into the gaps.
