Thank you
I don't know why I usually build the kits with the hidden
interiors/ halve hidden in this case. But I have to build and weather them otherwise the kit wasn't fully completed
But it is still fun and there is room for errors and to try new methods

Hey guys, so finally I got around to working on the panther..
So here is my progress..
Finally finished the wench and installed it
Sorry for the blurry image, hope this looks better
Managed to pain tall the wheels, yes the light makes the red primer look very red

I left allot of wheels in the primer color as these tanks was not meant to blend in rather just recover and leave the battlefield.
So not allot of attention was spent on keeping the the camo correct
And the the top and bottom hull was buttoned up with a lot of problems as the top hull was really badly warped.
I used CA glue to act as spot welding and then Tamiya extra thin to glue it all to gether.
Next was the base coat and the camo patern... So how I managed to screw up the tinning and the base coat has been soft now for more than a week "doens't dry"
Also managed to finish the weathering on the tool shed for the diorama
So that's where I am now..
Started today with the detail painting on the tank
Once again thanks for checking it out and leave comments if you see something
Cheers

First off.... I would like to say thank you for all the kind comments, it is greatly appreciated
So here is and update
Not much has been done, since I'm only at home for 4 hour a day
I have removed all the tape that kept the interior out of paints way and started on the chipping, this is my first attempt at chipping with a brush and the final idea will be a fairly
heavy abuse paint job along almost all edges since this is a hard working tank and more attention was given to the ones that fought the battle.
Here I finished painting the beams over the wench in rust primer and did the first layer on the planking
Some chipping done to the rear of hull and painted the exhausts in base color
Also chipped the lead beam as this would have been knock with chains and cables
Once all the chipping is done I will add a wash to tone everything down a bit....I use Academy Panzer grey for the chipping but it came out a bit silvery
Please give feedback on this attempt at chipping as I would like to know where I can better....
PS. sorry for the dark and brighter difference in picture but the last lot was taken after dark and the flash looks brighter then

So... not been building much but here is some progress made
Finally got the tracks build and test fitted, I would honestly rather spend the extra cash on the fruil tracks than these again.
The kept breaking and when moved too much fall a part again

But got them build
Also added slight hint of rust streaks here and there..
I'm quite happy with how the chipping came out, first time using a brush to do the chipping
Still have allot to do in the wench bay as it still as this " not used enough look"
And then there is this.....
which is also for the dio....Thank you

That is an ace tip from Coen and you did such a nice job making it look so good.
I love these builds (obviously I wish it didn't happen so much), but i love watching you chaps overcome the curve balls manufacturers throw up.
I wish the manufacturers would take a look at these threads, and take on board the crap standard they throw at us.
Really impressed with your build and your doing a cracking job.

Hello all!!!!!!!!!!
So here is an update of the work done on my Bergepanther.....
Not much time has been spent on the actual kit as I was starting on the layout for the dio....
Here is a preview of what I have planned

At he left side in front of the Panther there will be a open gate, leading out of the farmyard
There is no figures on the dio yet( eight of them ), nor the motorcyclist as they are currently in the paint booth along with allot more tools and accessories for the dio....to add more detail
The horse carriage will also have some fuel and water supplies in it but I am still replacing all the straps and chains with better looking ones.
Here is some picture of the process of how the gates were built..

Made the cross beams for the support structure...

Cut all the bars for the gate from copper stripped out of an old transformer

And ones side completed

Both gates completed, now only still need to add the locking mechanism and the hingedes
Please leave comment s and questions if you have any
Thank you

Brilliant build log and some great tips also, I have a love hate relationship with italeri as they seem to fall short in some areas but I like them anyway, awesome scratch building
