Hi Guys,

I painted the whole dio in a sand color.
And went out, bought me some bushes and stuck 'm here and there.
I looked for a bird or lizzard in the right scale but couldn't find anything.
Maybe I might have to scratch build a bird too!

Next up is some rock weathering with pigments.

Hi Guys,

Still looking voor animals for the dio...
Meanwhile I thought how can I make the scene a little more interesting?
Than I thought of a road sign. And googled for one.

Came across this picture and thought that it would be fitting:

Image

I wanted to use the real signing from the photo but these guys were blocking some of the sign.
So I cleared them out of way with some photoshopping and gave the sign some color. :thumb2:

Image

From plywood and pine wood I made the sign construction and we had ourselves a sign!

That's all for now..

cheers

Hi guys,

Since I wanted to add a bird of some kind, Mikey came up with a link to a site that sells miniature animals amongst other figures.
It's called mantisminiatures.pl. Although they are nice, they weren't that detailed and to pay € 20,- (shipment included) was a bit
much for a set of birds of which I only needed one..
So....
I took out my DAS klay and started 'modelling' a tiny owl! :wtf:
For feet I used a tiny piece of wire.
I waited for it to dry. Then sculpted it with a knife for some more details.
Then painted it with the tiniest pencil I have and I had my birdy on the rock!

I also made a little snake in the process. Still to be painted. That's for next time. :D
