Looking great! :thumb2:
Pity the decals fell apart, thank god for the spare box!
Love the weathering mate! I might steel some ideas for my GMC

And I too agree about all brilliant builds in this SIG.
I follow everyone's build too, but my time is also limited on the forum lately, and can't reply to everyone.
So for all other builds,

Love this build Alex and really felt for you over the decals, and now that is one hard pressed truck you have there, looks like it has been to war and had a hard a hard life, the cab left loose, is somthing I would do myself just so you could see the engine and running gear and to change the fan belt if necessary, the dusting of the glass is superb,
looking forward to the final reveal
Tom

Nev wrote:Nice work mate your a more patient man than I with those decals. I too have heard nothing bad about ICM's Decals! I know for one that I will be swapping mine out for some archer ones when I get to doing them! :cheers2:
Thanks Nev. The decals were generic US stars that I had left over from another finished kit (Tamiya I think??), but that's definitely a wise choice going for AM decals! :th:

Final Stages

The final thing to do on this one was to weather up the wheels and this was done with layers of Ultimate dark dirt with add "splodges" of the same colour applied to the body for mud and dirt.

The bit of wood was just something that I had to hand and this isn't going to be what it is finally displayed on.

A tad over the top with the pics, but I know I'm not alone in the search for that elusive "perfect picture", the one where the light is just right and it seems to capture all the effects that you were hoping to show. Ah well, maybe I'll get it next time!!

A massive thanks for following me on this one, all of the support and comments really make a difference and are very much appreciated! :th: :th:
