Cheers boys, I used 50/50 desert yellow and buff in the end, it's going to get a lot dirtier though, I'm over the moon with the non slip , it's well worth the effort I think

The build so far looks great so far bud!! That anti-slip is really popping out and appealing to the eye.

Is that the original barrel from the kit?

It looks like an aftermarket or scratch built barrel, with all the folds and the tie-downs around the barrel cover. Really nice detail for a standard Tamiya kit.

Personal experience always brings these subject to life more than any professional could do.
Missed the first Gulf war but was their for a bit of the second. (Fly boy so didn't have to see too much action lol)

Thanks guys your encouragement is phenomenal, I just hope I can deliver on the weathering, I think like you say Dc, the fact I'm doing something personal is a key factor and coen I swear its my second model ever!!!. I'm as keen as the next man to see how I get on with a build i have no knowledge of

Thanks Dc I remember a thread about being happy with your finished model and have to say when a lot of the guys say they are never happy i can understand, I have messed about with this model so much to try and get it perfect in my mind that it has become obsessional, to that end I have posted pics earlier than I would have liked but I have to draw a line under it, I'm pleased with it but my skill level prevents a true representation I hope you like it
