Nope she kept off it...I kind of wanted her paw print in the corner
There's a video somewhere on youtube. Workers had just finished a driveway slab and a duck comes down from above, lands on the wet concrete, has a dump and walks across to the other side, leaving webbed footprints across the whole thing, and of course a turd. The video ended at that point, but I think from the sounds the workers were making, the whole thing was going to be left as it was....Twokidsnosleep wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2017 6:23 amNope she kept off it...I kind of wanted her paw print in the corner
It was solid by the time I got home from work at about 5:30pm and they started about 1 pm
Now this is interesting, you made me think a bit
here it is mainly to increase load capacity without cracking. A 4" floor with reo is the same as a 5" without. Without reo is usually cheaper option, but the ground must be well compacted. I thought perhaps freeze / thaw conditions might impose additional constraints upon the integrity of the concrete. I was just curious !Twokidsnosleep wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2017 6:13 pmNow this is interesting, you made me think a bit
Up the street a guy is having his driveway redone in concrete and they have only gravel. Another house build by my concrete guy and they are doing a narrow gauge wire mesh. Ours looks like it will survive a nuclear attack...which I kind of like
Yes we get lots of freeze thaw events in the winter, but not extreme cold
I am not sure as to why all the rebar, but happy to be on the over-engineered end of things
I would say for load capacity then....but the same rebar web was used between garage and workshop and it won't have the weight of a car on itdigger303 wrote: Thu Apr 13, 2017 12:36 amhere it is mainly to increase load capacity without cracking. Ya it is a great start, still tinkering around
Pacific Northwest so 90 days of natural light and 275 days of--shall we say--diffused light
I had it like that at first, but then put the hood up on the window ledge so there is a step up there now
Ok...I turned mine upside down so I could swing the bench light across. Shame the hood is so shallow I may add some 3mm mdf to make a larger work platform. Certainly not large enough to hold a 1/32 Stuka on a lazy susan as it is.Twokidsnosleep wrote: Tue May 02, 2017 4:42 amI had it like that at first, but then put the hood up on the window ledge so there is a step up there now
The white hood wouldn't work upside down...hence need for some LED's
Exactly why I made my cardboard base larger and then extendable....the Tamiya turntable didn't fit in there. Otherwise you are so close, you are blowing paint right onto the filter. I will play with it during the FAA build and see how it goes.digger303 wrote: Tue May 02, 2017 6:23 amOk...I turned mine upside down so I could swing the bench light across. have you seen how that other type of filter is constructed.....a face board concertinaed with a series of holes , a second board behind that the same, but so the holes don't line up to allow direct air flow and a finer particle filter behind that. The idea being wet paint travels through the first set of openings hits the second board and sticks to it and anything finer gets caught by the last one.Twokidsnosleep wrote: Tue May 02, 2017 7:05 amExactly why I made my cardboard base larger and then extendable....the Tamiya turntable didn't fit in there. this is the sort of stuff I mean....sure you can get it cheaper else where, I would think it might very well make the original filter material last a lot longer whilst giving protection to paint being directly sprayed upon it....which I'm sure to do.

What do you think
Just found a better site to view that filter material I spoke of

Hm. I'd either send eBay an email or call the bank and reverse the charges.Twokidsnosleep wrote: Wed May 03, 2017 7:22 pm I have been having good luck with E Bay purchases until now
I bought a cheap version of the wooden paint racks...from Asia of course
My plan was to use it now and then make more on my scroll saw and modify them and expand on them myself after I figure out how I want the rack organized. Well of course all that has happened is I lost my $13.
The eBay listing says the auction was cancelled, online it says the product was delivered to me and the seller just asks me to wait longer....2 months almost from March 6. I cannot open a claim on EBay for some reason, probably as they put the auction was cancelled...but took my $
Think I got a bit hosed
Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait it out as the shipping can take forever..but they have F'd with the auction now and I cannot link to make a complaint to eBay. By cancelling the auction and delaying the purported delivery I think the seller can dodge the protection eBay set upLysus wrote: Wed May 03, 2017 7:25 pmHm. Or both.
Oh yeah, not worried about the $, but he is doing this thousands and thousands of times to people...then the $ starts to add upFridgy wrote: Wed May 03, 2017 11:50 pm As crappy as the situation is, on the upside it was only a small amount of $, not the point I know, just trying to be positive
there is a section there where you can report sellers and if you used paypal and contact them direct you may still be able to get your money and stop them. You would have a transaction number .Although I am not so sure you can stop them re-registering with another name and continuing.Twokidsnosleep wrote: Thu May 04, 2017 12:34 amOh yeah, not worried about the $, but he is doing this thousands and thousands of times to people...then the $ starts to add upFridgy wrote: Wed May 03, 2017 11:50 pm As crappy as the situation is, on the upside it was only a small amount of $, not the point I know, just trying to be positive

The one I ordered was $13. Though small, it was to be a template to expand upon.
Now I will just hopefully get a refund and make my own...I have the thin oak plywood packaging saved from the sink in my workshop to use
Maybe this is the weekend to clean out the garage and get the woodworking tools all set up![]()

Except he will do this again and again and collect money he should not from people who forget what they bought or don't care.
Nothing changes
In better news, the cabinet guy is back to finish stuff off and the landscaper has arisen from the deapths of somewhere and has been up in touch with us.YAY
